Lake District Lodge Holidays started in 2007 as a one lodge, one owner part-time operation. Due to significant demand for Waterside Lodge we passed enquiries and bookings to other owners and the concept of Lake District Lodge Holidays took shape.
Many owners have now joined Lake District Lodge Holidays through word of mouth and our now well established reputation based on the knowledge and understanding of the lodge rental market.
As lodge owners ourselves we understand everything that is required to let a lodge successfully - from the initial enquiry to after stay feedback and everything in between. This helps to deliver repeat bookings and guest referrals to secure future income (50%+ are repeat or referred guests at one of our lodges in 2012).
We now offer the biggest choice of holiday lodges and log cabins in the South Lakes area in one place and our website now regularly receives 10000 hits per month.
Being a boutique agency and knowing our lodges intimately means we can offer a range of services tailored to each individual lodge owner depending on their needs. This recognises these will be different depending on the reasons for letting.
We offer three distinct levels of service with commission starting at just 15%.
1. Bookings Management – everything from an initial enquiry through to post stay correspondence.
2. Full Management – Bookings Management plus dealing with all aspects of running the lodge on behalf of owners.
3. Bookings Management and additional web exposure – building on our high organic google search rankings, we will get additional bookings to boost those which owners already have, but are perhaps struggling to fill dates even in peak times.
Owners can have as much or as little involvement in the bookings or day-to-day management of their lodge as they choose, depending on the level of service required. This is backed up by our processes and procedures and use of a state-of-the-art Online Booking System to deliver a superior service to owners and guests alike - quite simply to get the level of bookings required.
There are no up front costs - our set up fee is paid monthly from commissions earned reflecting our confidence in delivering results.

All lodges will have a set of professional photographs and video through Ben Barden photography to show off your lodge brilliantly.
Opening hours - 10am to 7pm daily (except Christmas Day & New Years Day) to handle enquiries, bookings etc.
Full management will handle repairs, maintenance and snagging through approved contractors as required (with invoices direct to owners so no add-ons). On site visits on changeover days.
Housekeeping arranged via nominated cleaner.
Regular lodge inspections - ensure lodges conform to legislation and have required certifications (e.g Gas safety, PAT testing)
Widespread internet advertising for all lodges collectively through Lake District Lodge Holidays.
Easy to navigate website including on-line reservations which gets high organic search rankings on Google.
Highly personlised service to both owners and guests.
Ongoing advice to owners on all aspects of owning and renting a lodge.

"When we first took the plunge and put pen to paper and finally owned our dream lodge in the Lakes, we started to think about how we could initially make enough money to cover the site fees and the up keep of the lodge, leaving plenty of time for ourselves and family to enjoy it.
First port of call was to plan how we could do this ourselves and the practicalities of this then dawned on us. Both in full time work how could we field calls from prospective renters ?
