Afternoon tea is always a treat. So if you’re coming up to the Lakes and celebrating something a bit special there are certainly lots of choices! Maybe it’s an anniversary, birthday, Mothers Day treat or girlie weekend there is something rather special about afternoon tea.

Whether you’re looking for a traditional style, with sandwiches, cakes and of course scrumptious scones and cream or would rather have a ‘savoury style’, which focuses on savoury rather than sweet, and can be washed down with a beer, instead of fizz,; or Cumbrian ‘Tapas’ which might be more to your tastebuds; there is something to choose from in every village and town.
Whatever you’re after you’ll not go hungry in Cumbria. The only issue will be being spoilt for choice…
