Brant Fell is an easy short walk from the centre of Bowness giving lovely views right up the Lake.<\/p>\n

Start and Finish:<\/b> Bowness on Windermere centre.<\/p>\n
The walk starts in the centre of Bowness, at the mini-roundabout right in the middle: you can’t miss it.<\/p>\n
Climb steeply along Brantfell Road along the Dales Way, turning off after a few hundred metres, you’ll visit the little viewpoint of Post Knott before turning your back on the views to finish climbing to the top of Brant Fell itself.<\/p>\n
At the summit are large outcrops of rock, and lovely views across the Lake.<\/p>\n
To return you simply narrowly avoid the outward path and descend back to the shops along Helm Road.<\/p>\n
You can do the walk in an hour, but we suggest you allow a couple of hours so as not to hurry on this walk and sit and enjoy the view at the top.<\/p>\n\n
Head back to Bowness and slake your thirst at one of the many welcoming hostelries or cafes!<\/p>\n
