On arrival it was perfectly clean and beautifully furnished/decorated. We literally had everything we needed. We have already passed the details on to friends who have seen our photos. We will be back it was exactly what we wanted in a lodge.

Nathan “Internet very poor.”
Had to spend longer hours in cabin due to very bad weather so access to streaming sites would have been ideal but they kept buffering and phone use connected on the WiFi was not the best. Other than that cabin was brilliant, very clean and had everything needed. Would definitely go back again
- Nathan, February 2022Thank you for the valued feedback. The owner has since contacted the supplier regards this issue and is looking into getting the WiFi improved. This is a lovely lodge and we would welcome you back to the English Lake District Property Owner
Lisa “Amazing place to stay, really friendly and helpful owner, very clean.”
- Lisa, January 2022David “We had a lovely few days break in Copse Lodge.”
Lovely and cosy, absolutely immaculate and very well equipped. Cathy was an amazing host and had our lodge all prepared and warm for us upon arrival. She was there to greet us and, as I was there for a special birthday, she made it even more special! Bed was lovely and comfortable too! This is definitely a fantastic place to stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, relaxing break.

Lovely place for a break away from the busy life I have ,lovely people and nothing is too much trouble looking at going again next year already the farm is very close to the car museum and local towns
- Ashley, November 2021Su “Great place in general.”
Very clean and tidy cabin. The location is quite remote, with little/no phone signial, but only a 10 min or so drive to Windermere. The only issue we had was with the wifi, which was only fixed the day before we left, but that was out of the owners control and they tried to get it fixed as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Thanks
- Su, October 2021Thank you for your feedback. With regards the WiFi we are glad to note that the owner tried to get this fixed earlier and we apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner
Claire “We stayed for a week and it was great.”
Stunning location, nice and quiet and very convenient for travelling around the lakes, the lodges facilities and comforts went beyond expectations. The cellphone signal wasn’t great and sometimes nonexistent, which was fine for us, however there was supposed to be unlimited broadband that turned out to be limited and when it did work, we were kicked off fairly quickly so we couldn’t FaceTime with family whilst we were at the lodge - we would’ve expected broadband considering the fee we paid. However, we’d probably still return if we had the opportunity.
- Claire, October 2021Thank you for your feedback, We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We note your issue with the broadband and we will pass this on to the owners,we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

Clean and had everything we needed. We loved our stay and felt like it was a good price for what you got. Easy having the dog there too, though do be super aware that there are LOTS of sheep, on the farm and the area. We originally booked here in July for my partners birthday, I was heavily pregnant and had been told I was to have my baby early, worried about loosing money and the holiday as we was unable to stay we had full support from them and was able to book again and take our baby with us! We had a beautiful stay for our first family holiday, it was an amazing location not to far from shops etc but far enough to feel you are in the country. The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed, we only wish we had booked for the week rather than 4 days. We look forward to booking here again. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Climbing Cat Bells Mountain
- Miss Zoe Street, Aug 2018Mrs Diane Hesketh “Such a beautiful property and location to stay in.”
Beautifully furnished, super clean and comfortable. The weather was very hot when we stayed so an electric fan in the property would have been useful as leaving windows open attracted lots of flys. We took our 2 small dogs. One of them is very tiny so although the veranda was dog proof, he could fit through the gaps of the railings in one certain place where the railings were wider and he got out. I had to tie him up on the veranda with his lead rather than let him roam after that. This is no way a fault with the owners, just the fact my dog happens to be a tiny breed and can unfortunately fit through gaps. We all enjoyed our stay...the dogs loved it! They enjoyed the walks along the bridle path a few times each day. Everything we needed for a great stay was available in the property so overall, we could not fault it. I would highly recommend this property and return for a second stay. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The property and location...a proper home from home What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? The walks along the bridle path

- Miss Amy Clarke, Jul 2018Miss Jane Roberts “This was our second visit staying in Dell.”
Everything was just as it was last time. The lodge was immaculate as always though the owner did point out a problem to us with the edge of the kitchen surface that she had noticed that morning so obviously hadn't got time to fix. The weather was cold but dry and we managed a walk along the bridle path which was very enjoyable and we would do again. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed. It's a perfect place to get away if you want quality 'us' time...both of our phones were switched off when we got there and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. We have already booked again for October when we will be staying in one of the new lodges that have just arrived on the site. What did you enjoy most about your stay? We wanted a complete escape and that is exactly what we got surrounded by fields full of lambs. - Mrs Catherine Boulter, Apr 2017Miss Emma Stewart “Really peaceful and beautiful area & really pleased that we found somewhere we could bring our dog.”
The lodge itself was very clean and modern and had all the essentials. We're thinking of returning this year. What did you enjoy most about your stay? How peaceful it was. What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Walk down the bridal path or even just stay in and relax.

- Mr Elliott Pegg, Jan 2017Mrs Marie Stevens “My husband and I had 2 nights here to recover from the festive season - as we didn't bring our kids we loved that this site doesn't allow them!”
We found the lodges easily via sat nav/the directions emailed to us. The lodge itself was just excellent. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped - the heated coat cupboard and hallway designed for muddy boots are a great idea. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding excellent quality (although my husband found the duvet too thick and heavy, I loved it!), and the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The kitchen was small (as you'd expect) but well designed and had a good range of utensils, crockery and cookware - we were impressed to find champagne flutes for our fizz! The sofa and chair were very comfortable, great for curling up on with a glass of wine and a book! As we wanted to go out more or less straight away, my husband walked up to the farm house to say hello rather than wait for someone to come down. Cathy kindly agreed to call us a taxi into town (as it was dark and we didn't fancy walking) and advised us on where find mobile signal on the site. This was the only time we saw anyone apart from the guests in the other 2 lodges until we handed the keys back 2 days later, but we were told to call up if we needed anything and it was good to not be disturbed. I felt the booking process could be improved - we like to pay by credit card for security, but to do this we had to book through a third party site who charged a What did you enjoy most about your stay? Peace and quiet What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Some lovely restaurants in Windermere!

Perfect location a short drive to Windermere and Bowness for amenities and only a few minutes drive from the local pub the watermill inn which was great for food and very dog friendly. Location great for driving to local fell walks. Lodge extremely clean and all the luxuries you could ask for. Owners very friendly and welcoming but at the same time felt very private which we liked! Would definitely return! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Location and luxury lodge What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Grasmere
