The lodge itself could do with a little TLC, both sets of patio doors have slipped, you have to lift them so they will lock. The cutlery/glasses where all dirty and had to be washed before they could be used. The grill/oven did not work, but the rings did. Personally, I don't think the lodge is suitable for 4 adults, there is 1 2 seater sofa (which is torn and sunken) and a small swivel chair. One of the bedrooms has a double bed with 1 side shoved against the wall, so 2 people sharing, 1 would have to climb over the other to get out of it. Thankfully, there was only the 2 of us. The hottub is set at 38°, perfect for cool nights but no good when the outside day temperature is 28°, like sitting in a hot bath. The hottub is also at the back of the lodge, with no lightening at all, absolutely pitch black, so remember to take a torch.

Thank you for the review. We are sorry to hear a number of things were not quite right for you. We can tell you that the patio doors do tend to drop in the heat, that said we will take a look and adjust if necessary. Our maintenance team have not found an issue with the grill/oven although we will keep an eye on it. We shall pass on your further comments to the owners for their consideration and similarly your cleaning comments to the cleaning company responsible. Had you let us know at the time we would have addressed these matters sooner and with little impact on your stay. As such we can only say we are sorry and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Noting the hot tub was too hot, these are designed to be used in cooler weather which we so often have. As you know, for the duration of your stay the weather was superb, and very hot. Thank you again for bringing a few things to light and we do hope that you enjoyed your stay. Owner relations
