Windermere 1.7 miles. This attractive, detached lodge of Owls House Lodge is located in the serene environment of White Cross Bay Holiday Park near Windermere, Cumbria. Owls House Lodge is a great spot for a family of four's break, with access to a large range of on-site facilities and a stone's throw away from the Lake District National Park's magnificent scenery. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by two off-road parking places before heading up the steps and into this charming lodge. Step inside to be met by the stylish open-plan living space, where a kitchen with monochrome units has everything you need for a self-catering stay. Prepare a delectable dinner and dine at the dining table, which offers breathtaking views of the holiday park below. Cosy up on the sofa after dinner and turn on the Smart TV to watch your favourite show or movie together. Alternatively, you can stroll out to the decking, which offers beautiful views as well as a fabulous hot tub where you can savour a soothing dip. Retire to one of the two lovely bedrooms, a king-size with a TV and a twin, at the end of the day; both rooms have handy storage and are adjacent to a well-presented shower room. Make use of the park's amenities, which include a laundromat, convenience shop, and bar/restaurant, all within walking distance. There are a range of activities and facilities to keep you occupied at the park, including spa facilities, a gym, and a swimming pool, as well as kid-friendly clubs, an entertainment venue, and a play area. If you can drag yourself away from the lodge and the park, Windermere is a pleasant town with beautiful hikes across Orrest Head Viewpoint and Queen Adelaide's Hill, as well as housing the famous Hodge Howe and Miller Ground watersports centres. Visit Bowness-on-Windermere, where you'll find ferries sailing to the West Shore and providing tours of Lake Windermere's islands, as well as the Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Windermere Golf Club. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
