    “Great stay, the lodge was really well equipped.”

    Would love to go back when the weather is a bit warmer to be able to sit out on the decking. The site was lovely and peaceful and in a great location for visiting different areas.

Welcome to Pheasant's Nest, a well presented two bedroom dog friendly holiday lodge Pheasant's Nest is a beautifully presented 2 bedroom lodge situated in the popular Kirkstone area of Limefitt Park. The lodge enjoys a quiet location with lovely, far reaching views of the surrounding fells. It's just a short distance from the onsite pub. The lodge is well equipped providing a welcoming and relaxing retreat. A great option for those looking to unwind in a tranquil setting. With walks right from the front door plus designated onsite dog field, Pheasant's Nest is a haven for dogs and their family members! One dog is welcome. Accommodation Details Living area: - Spacious and bright open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area - Pitched ceiling with built in lighting - Furniture includes a 3 seater fabric sofa (with footrest) and 2 armchairs - Round wooden dining table with 4 chairs (2 collapsible dining chairs are also provided) - Wall mounted flat screen TV with a stand alone DVD player/Freeview box - Attractive feature fire place with electric fire - Patio doors lead on to the front deck Kitchen area: - Well equipped and appointed fitted kitchen - Equipment includes a gas oven and hob, tall built in fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster - Ample cutlery, crockery and utensils plus plenty of generous storage space Master bedroom: - King size bed with a brand new mattress from July 2022 - Bedside drawers, dressing table with stool - There is a large walk through wardrobe with plenty of storage space leading to... - En-suite shower room with shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin Second bedroom: - Full size twin beds (3 foot wide) - Plenty of storage space in fitted wardrobes and drawers Bathroom: - The family shower room has a double width walk in shower, vanity unit, toilet and shaving point Other information: - Full central heating and double glazing ensuring a comfortable stay all year round

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.


Pheasant’s Nest Lodge is accessed by 6 steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level. There is a gentle sloping gravel driveway.

Please bring your own travel cot and highchair as they are not provided. A travel cot will fit in the twin bedroom only.

Park Rules and Operations – Limefitt

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
