Owl's House is a lovely comfortable lodge in a peaceful location on the park. This was our third stay and was thoroughly enjoyable made even better by the warm sunny weather. The lodge is well fitted out and has all the comforts of home. It is lovely to be able to take our dog for a holiday too! Kay Singleton, Bury

Overall stay at Owl House was lovely. It's in a great and quiet location. The decor of the lodge is mordern and nice. My only critique would be to replace the matteresses and provide washing up stuff as my group had to buy washing up liquid and sponges. However I would not let that stop me from booking again at Owl House, I have been looking already for 2018! Stacey King, Bury St Edmunds

Thank you for your review, Stacey and letting us know you had a lovely stay at Owls House. We note your comments about the mattresses and although we do find comfort to be a personal preference we will check for any sign of damage and pass on your comments to the lodge owners for their consideration. Your feedback comments are very much appreciated and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. As the lodge is self-catering it is expected for guests to supply certain items although we do provide a basic starter pack; Tea towel, oven glove, dish/j cloth, kitchen roll plus starter supplies of washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets (where applicable), loo roll and basic cleaning materials. We are sorry should you not have received all these and similarly we have passed on your comments to the contract cleaners for their future reference. Owls House is an immaculate and beautifully presented lodge in the heart of the Lakes with the added bonus of a hot tub. A beautiful holiday retreat and a perfect place to relax and unwind. We are delighted to hear you are looking to return next year (complete with your loyalty discount!).

We had a wonderful time at Owl's house, it had everything we needed, it was lovely and peaceful and a real home from home. We had lovely weather too which was an added bonus and the hot tub was a real luxury. The modern furnishings were lovely, the information left was very useful. We would love to revisit again, will start saving now. Thank you so much to the owners for making it such a memorable stay from us and our 2 doggies. Terri Cleary, Aylesbury

About White Cross Bay

White Cross Bay is located between Windermere & Ambleside on the shores of Lake Windermere. It is one of the most popular holiday parks in the very heart of the Lake District and the great location makes it a convenient base for a self catering stay in the area.

The focal point is the lake front and marina with stunning views across to the surrounding fells and countryside. The park offers plenty to do with a large clubhouse which includes the bar, restaurant and leisure facilities (a £15 local charge applies to use the pool and gym).
