Winter breaks in the Lakes can be magical… Christmas joy, twinkly lights and lots of good cheer. We usually get some snow too which cloaks everywhere in an almost mystical atmosphere. Most places to visit are open through winter and of course our legendary eating and drinking places, cosy pubs, restaurants and cafes will welcome you in.
If you love the outdoors, make the most of quieter footpaths, lanes and roads, and then head back to your snug and warm lodge at the end of the day to relax and recuperate.
The beauty of self-catering at this time of year is you can pick up some delicious local produce from many of our fabulous foodie shops, then hunker down and really chill out.
We’ve some rather nice Winter offers on too, so you can grab yourself a cheeky break away. Have a browse and treat yourself to some winter R&R.
Don’t despair if you need a winter break – Fallbarrow Park, High Borrans and some at Keswick Bridge are open right through January, whilst White Cross Bay and Limefitt will reopen on the 8th February.
