A perfect short break

We stayed on a Monday - Friday basis at Beech Hill as a family of four (two teenage daughters). We were familiar with Fallbarrow having holidayed in our touring caravan on the site for many years. The park has a perfect location on beautiful Lake Windermere. The lodge was tastefully decorated, contemporary and very clean. It was very spacious and relaxing for the four of us. The utility room was a bonus to store coats and walking boots etc. All appliances were easy to use and there was plenty of crockery and utensils. Useful essentials like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were provided. The service from Lake District Lodge Holidays was outstanding before and during our stay. Being able to use the health club in Troutbeck Bridge was a super bonus as it was very relaxing at the end of our long walks and cycles. The location is very convenient to access all parts of the Lake District.

Great stay, thanks !

Great location, great for our friends with a youngster. Park was tidy, reception staff very helpful. Only slight issue which wasn’t a problem, but worth mentioning to you, the shower in the main bathroom didn’t get as hot as other hot water outlets, like I say wasn’t a problem just wanted to let you know.

Beautiful Lodge, Quiet Location

We stayed at Beech Hill for a week over New Year. We have stayed at Fallbarrow Park for many years in a privately rented lodge right on the lake but, we could not book that lodge for New Year so, we booked Beech Hill. I have to say we were not disappointed with our choice at all. The lodge was immaculately clean, very spacious given that there was a utility room and walk in wardrobe, very comfortable and tastefully decorated, they even had a Christmas tree up. The lodge was set back from the lake in a quiet, wooded area, with partial lake view, there was a steep hill to get to the lodge when walking but not a problem for us. The lodge is a 10 minute walk into the village, no need to use the car at all. Beautiful location and lodge, I would definitely book again.

Jan 19, after Xmas break

No5 Beech Hill was the perfect accommodation for our winter break. It was warm and welcoming when we arrived on very cold early January day. Inside was as perfect as it could be, with everything provided that you could possibly need. The beds, the sofas were so comfortable. The Lodge itself is ideally placed, and in a quiet position. We even got to meet by chance, the owners Daughter and was a charming Lady from the midlands. Our winter break is chosen for the next few years, and cant wait to re visit.

Thank you for the super review, Derek and we are delighted you enjoyed staying at Beech Hill Lodge. A wonderful place to stay at any time of the year although as a winters retreat, this warm and cosy holiday lodge is just perfect. Located on the edge of Bowness-on- Windermere and a stones throw to the shores of Lake Windermere. A great spot to relax and unwind after the festive period. We are thrilled you will be returning to Beech Hill and we look forward to welcoming you.

Beech Hill Lodge 5 - Fallbarrow, Bowness-on-Windermere

This being a very late Christmas Booking, due to problems with property booked via other agent in Windermere. The staff were very helpful. Have stayed at Fallbarrow on numerous occasions, so knew of the standard of accommodation offered. Were delighted with this Lodge, spacious, bright, airy - as new. In a nice quiet location. Only minutes walk from the local shops and bay. Would stay again and would recommend.

Beautiful lodge great park

Beautiful lodge. Spotlessly clean. Luxurious and very comfortable. Loved the Jacuzzi bath. Unfortunately for us hill too steep for my daughter's wheelchair. We visit Fallbarrow several times a year, will just book a different lodge. Recommend lodge to others though.
