The lodge was a bit tired but we were spoilt as we had been in one of your prestige ones in the Glade last year. The bedding was stained but not cleaners fault just how it came from laundry. Bath panel and bottom of shower tray ingrained dirt which I couldn’t get off either and chairs in kitchen pvc covers peeling and but it won’t stop us booking with the company again.

We’ve stayed at this lodge before and found it to be really cozy and homely, very comfortable with everything u could nee. Good parking. Only negative was it needs a bit of TLC.

Dampness(foist) on ceiling of small twin bedroom, Kitchen blind does not work properly,En-suite shower was going hot and cold, had to use the shower in the Main bathroom, Main bathroom bath was cracked here and there, the fire in the lounge did not work properly ( No Flame effect), Parts of kitchen units were in need of repair. Had to replace a lamp in the kitchen hood myself. Wi fi was non existent, TV channels were very limited to access.

Thank you for your review, James. We are naturally disappointed at what you have to say. We have of course checked the repair issues you raised and we found, we have to say, that the kitchen blind worked for us, the ensuite shower also worked as it should do (it may be your experience was caused by the hot water being used in the kitchen at the same time as the shower was used). We could not find any cracks in the bathroom bath and the flame effect fire, a bulb needed replacing. Thank you for replacing the bulb in the kitchen hood. Unfortunately we have no control whatsoever over the power of the Wifi onsite and the only TV channels are free ones on freeview, which is very limited in the Lake District because the transmission from near Carlisle is then retransmitted from Kendal with reduced power and reduced number of channels. We are quite sure that your experience would be so much better on a second visit and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.
