Great getaway

We booked 2 nights over the October half term holiday. We wished we’d booked longer. Fantastic lodge, very modern and to a high standard beautiful location. The one slight issue we had was fixed immediately so congratulations for the great customer service.

An idyllic lodge

Wow! was my first impression of this lodge and I have stayed in many. As a two bed lodge it leaves all the extra room for the living space. There is a beautiful enormous wooden table which is just bursting for a Xmas gathering. The master bedroom is large too and there is oodles of wardrobe space. The lodge is very spacious yet cosy with it's very open plan living. Hot tub is a bonus. I would not hesitate to stay here again and didn't even mind being rained in. Discovered the xbox and games in the wardrobe on the last day. Wish we'd found them earlier for some family fun.

Great lodge on a great park

This is a well specced lodge and very clean. We did make a comment that the decking needs some attention and a storage space for the outside seating cushions would be nice as they were wet when we arrived and could not be dried to use. The hot tub went down on the second night but the service both on the phone and in person from the staff at lake district holiday cottages was excellent. The problem with the hot tub was mechanical and these things happen. However Lake district holiday cottages refunded us for the non use immediately. The park it is situated on is quiet and has plenty of amenities. The location is superb for exploring the region as well. We will be booking with lake district holiday cottages again soon as we feel we can completely trust this company.

Brilliant lodge

Arrived to a very clean and huge lodge. Hot tub was hot and ready to go. Beds were very comfortable and we felt like it was a home away from home. Good location on the site and the site was a good location in regards to things near by. We cant wait to stay again.

Lovely weekend at White Cross Bay

We enjoyed our weekend stay in the lodge, gorgeous interior everything so perfect, only negative for this lodge is the decking area needs some attention to it, did not effect our stay but would improve first impressions of lodge upon arrival, once inside though it is luxurious and so much space

Thank you for your very kind review Clare, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We have noted your comments regarding the decking and this is being looked into and passed to the lodge owners for their information. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and we hope it did not effect your stay too much. Ghyll is a beautiful lodge uniquely sleeping up to 5 guests and is stylishly decorated throughout! Next door to its sister lodge, they are both equally as lovely as each other and with a lovely hot tub to enjoy all year round, it is easy to see why Ghyll is a firm favourite amongst our guests. Hopefully we will welcome you back again in the future for another great stay.
