Warm, comfortable ambience despite the weather!

We like this end of the Lakes as it gives a much better feeling of beauty and peace in the area. The Lodge is ideal as a centre to explore the Northern end of the Lake District, especially the Honister Pass and associated Bassenthwaite and Crummock water. Going up to the North western end of Cumbria ant Silloth shows the change of scenery that Cumbria can give to those who leave the usual areas to explore further.

A wonderful lodge in the middle of a park near Keswick.

The lodge was wonderfully furnished and everything was in perfect working order. The park was away from the main roads and very quiet. The location was excellent, very close to Keswick. Everything we needed was available inside the lodge. We had a great stay and we intend to return to the Lake District.

Week in the Lake District

We had a lovely relaxing week in the Lake District. Where we were positioned it was in a lovely quiet spot. Sitting on the balcony surrounded by beautiful countryside was a great end to a days walking up in the hills. It felt like a home from home.

Thank you for your review, Linda. We were pleased to hear you enjoyed the location of Latrigg, a simply stunning place to be. Noting your further comments, the owners have a rolling programme of refreshing the lodge and have plans for further updates in the coming months as suits the traditional style of their lodge. Please keep a look out for the updated photos on our website. With regard to the hot water, we are sorry it was not hot enough for you. The boiler and temperature of the water have been checked and no sign of a problem. With that said, thank you for making us aware and we shall certainly keep a close eye on this. We do hope you enjoyed your stay at this charming log cabin and will consider returning for another stay soon.

Lovely comfortable lodge

Me and my wife stayed here early in July. We chose to stay at Burnside park because of the location, only 10 min walk into town and also having the luxury of a lodge rather than staying in a hotel. The lodge itself was great, very tidy lots of room and nice to be able to sit out on the veranda on an evening. Would recommend 100% and hopefully we will be back in the not to distant future.

A super alternative to a hotel and pleasing to hear you thought so too! We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Lovely place

We enjoyed our stay, very clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable, our children enjoyed playing on their bikes in the holiday park. Good location when we needed to get into Keswick and great for Derwent Water, there is also a lovely little pub at the other side of the roundabout. You can hear the traffic but that inst anything that is cause for concern. We will visit again.

Great views

A nice lodge on a good site with fabulous views, although there are no facilities on site,Keswick is a 15minute walk either on the road which takes you to Booths and the Coop supermarkets or through Fitz Park along the river Greta to the town centre. The lodge is well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The Filling Station cafe for breakfast and the Pheasant Inn for dinner are a few minutes walk away across the roundabout, but do book at the Pheasant as it gets very busy.

Short break heaven

This was our first visit to latrigg lodge on burnside park Keswick and rest assured it will not be our last, the lodge itself has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 but on this occasion it was just for my wife and I,On arrival we found it to be spotlessly clean well equipped and with a terrace with furniture and a view across fields looking towards Hellvelyn, with an abundance of visiting birds. The park itself is very quiet,no reception,no clubhouse and no shop,it is about a 25 minute walk into Keswick,There is a bus stop about 200yds away or a local taxi firm [davies taxis] which are very reliable the cost between £3 to £4,The nearest pub [Pheasant Inn] is about 500yds away serving excellent food.My wife who is not very mobile and uses a 3 wheel walker found little problem with the location,Finally we would like to thank the owners whos names I believe are Val and Steve for a wonderfull relaxing stay in a lodge they should be very proud of.Once again many thanks to all concerned.I almost forgot their is parking at the lodge for 2 cars, although we don't have a car and travelled there and back on public transport found it no problem whatsoever.

Haven in a wet and windy week

Really could not fault the lodge and had the best few nights sleep in the snug pine clad bedrooms. Alas the weather was not too kind to us the week we were there, which spoilt the ambience of the holiday.
