Perfect for Chilling

I think the Lodge was ideal for what we was after and that was to chill out and relax and to have a base to see the area's other sites. The Lodge is not brand spanking new but has obviously been refurbished and this seems to add to it feeling homely. We loved the birds and deer that you could see during the day from your window.

Thank you for your comments and super ratings, John. It is very pleasing to hear you enjoyed a relaxing stay at Lily Tarn. A very welcoming lodge and a wonderful location for exploring the Lakes. As well as the perfect spot for watching local wildlife! With the added bonus of a hot tub this really is an excellent choice for those looking for a holiday retreat in the Lakes.

Great lodge and well worth the experience

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at lily tarn. The two main aspects that we enjoyed the most was the hot tub and the use of sky sports football that was showed on the tv in the lodge. We can't wait to book back up for next year :)

Lovely lodge for a family holiday

First time we've stayed in a lodge and it was amazing. Lovely and clean and well equipped, lots of room and storage. Being a family with two teenagers two bathrooms was fab!! Plenty of hot water and Hot tub was lovely we used it everyday, little fairy lights in the tree made it so special at night. Gates both ends of the decking meant the dogs could roam safely, with plenty of walking all day they mostly slept. Very quiet site, so could really relax. Definitely would return.

Last time visiting :(

We've been a returning visitor to Lily Tarn for a number of years now without issue, however this will be our last visit given the policy change by the owners to only allow one dog. Such a shame as we've never had any issues with our dogs and always made sure we fully respected the lodge and it's contents. Although not the most modern/ contemporary in its decor, I love the location of the lodge in that it's right in the middle of the park but private enough too so you can enjoy the hot tub and decking area. We have rebooked for the 6th year running with Lake District Lodge Holidays as they're helpful and always provided a good service to us however it will be with another log cabin

Thank you for your review, Kelley and letting us know you have enjoyed staying at Lily Tarn over the past few years. The lodges are privately owned and as booking agents we have to respect the wishes of the owners, although we are pleased to hear that you have already booked for next year in a lodge that will accommodate your requirements. Lily Tarn offers very comfortable accommodation, a real home from home. With the addition of a hot tub and in a good central location to onsite facilities as well as the marina, this is a super choice for a holiday. Perhaps in the near future we will welcome you once again to this very homely lodge.
