Lovely stay in this lodge - location was perfect in front of the lake and the hot tub was definitely a bonus! Lodge was clean but perhaps needed a few tweaks internally - eg. Bin didn’t work properly, had a few issues with dishwasher and the sofa is not the most comfortable! However the lodge was mostly clean and well kept and a bonus with two shower rooms. Fire lovely to have on as well. Lovely big decking area too. As I say the location makes this a perfect lodge to stay in and we would definitely stay again!

Thank you for the review, Danielle and letting us know of your lodge experience. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Stickle Ghyll is a lovely lodge and with a hot tub and lake view, is the perfect place to stay. Noting your further comments, we will make sure these are followed up although we are pleased to say the sofa has been replaced since your departure. Thank you for your kind words and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Very nice indeed, great location, central for Bowness and Ambleside (3 miles either way) - a nice walk into either area. Hot tub was great (especially after mountain climbing!). We had a problem with the fridge but this was rectified quickly. Overall, the accommodation was superb and this lodge is perfectly located with a great view of Windermere lake.

Spectacular views of the lake, we couldnt have picked a better spot to celebrate christmas. The lodge was lovely but looked tired and missed a bit of love and personality. Customer service was excellent as always. The views were stunning, so would have helped if the windows were cleaned, so many cobwebs and dust, but we didnt let it spoil our fun. The sofa in the living room needs attention, not at all comfy. We love white cross bay and will stay again, but not in this lodge, the view made up for the niggles.

Thank you for the review, Pauline and to let us know you enjoyed your stay. With that said and noting you had a few niggles, please accept our apologies. We shall follow up on these and advise the lodge owners accordingly. On a better note we are delighted to hear you couldn’t have picked a better spot for Christmas. This comfortable two-bedroom lodge with hot tub and spacious terrace looking out towards the lake is a great place to stay. We’d be delighted should you wish to return.
