Tall Trees Lodge review.

A nice Lodge, however if you removed one of the sofa beds in the lounge and replaced it with a comfortable settee that would be better. The hot tub should have a screen around to give it more privacy.

Another stay at tall trees

As the title says we have stayed here before. The lodge is in a quiet area of the park a few minutes from the lake . I love the hot tub the only thing that disappointed me this year was there was no parasol over the hot tub as in the previous year. We had 2 dogs with us and it’s a spacious lodge so still plenty of room. I think the sofas are not as comfortable this year but that wouldn’t stop me returning as everything else is great.

Thank you for your kind review Julie, we are so pleased to hear you have enjoyed another stay at this wonderful lodge. Further to your comments regarding there being no parasol this year, we have passed this to the lodge owner for their consideration. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Tall Trees is a modern and spacious two-bedroom lodge ideally located with a hot tub to relax and enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Lovely lodge, great location.

We have stayed in this lodge three times without any complaints. I think this time we noticed the sofas could probably do with freshening up but other than that still as lovely as ever. - No one visited to maintain the hot tub on this occasion, where usually we would see someone at least twice. The location of this lodge is great, close to the clubhouse/reception . We will be bookign again for our 4th visit very soon. There is still a shortage of bar staff - always a queue for a drink.. reception staff lovely and helpful. Pool is a great asset when the weather is not so good for the kids.

Ideal lodge for a family

Beautiful lodge with everything you need. Good size for a family with added benefit of the hot tub. Just a couple of things that could be checked before change over of people as the remote didn’t work in the master bedroom for the tv and the bedside light the bulb had gone. Only tiny things and it’s not a complaint just an observation that the little things are worth checking. All in all a nice stay.

Great chalet, very clean, good location.

To be honest there was very little wrong with our stay, if I'm being picky the hot tub is not in a good location as it's overlooked from three sides but this is not a great concern. The communal bins were overflowing but this has nothing to do with the chalet as was the poor wi fi reception. This is a really good chalet with loads of space and great cleanliness.

October half term 2018

We had a fantastic holiday at Tall Trees Lodge. Lake district lodge holidays are always a pleasure to book with and seem to genuinely care that you enjoy your stay. White cross bay is fairly central and children friendly. Lots of things to do not too far away. You would probably need a car or transport to eat out at night. We used the pool on site, you have to book a time slot to swim which initially put us off, but actually it works out quite well as there is plenty of room to swim. The kids enjoyed Wray castle, very child friendly. We ate at the onsite restaurant a couple of times, it's not gourmet cuisine but our meals were very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. The lodge itself is well spaced out and we really liked the layout. It was warm and clean when we arrived. The hot tub is lovely and yes there is a path that runs along the side but even though it was October half term and busy we never felt overlooked. The lodge is in a nice location on the park, a little culdusac setting but easy walking distance to all the facilities. Having read some of the other reviews I would agree that the sofas are a little dated and uncomfortable. We found the beds very comfortable, lovely ensuite, lots of storage space and a washer/dryer. Overall I would not hesitate to stay here again or book with Lake district Lodge holidays. Thank you for another wonderful stay in the beautiful Lake District.

Great place to stay, lodge is quite tired

We felt the cost of the lodge for the week wasn’t quite representative of the quality of furnishings. We have stayed at white cross bay before in another lodge and can only compare against this. It may just be our dynamics, but because we had younger children and a dog, we were out all day until early evening and then self catering and resting. The sofas were very small and tired, the kitchen equipment not very good and generally most items need an update. I’m not saying this to put people off as the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was great, it just needs a little investment to make it match the rental price.
