A perfect stay at Low Briery in the Elter Pod.
A beautiful site & easily walkable into Keswick town centre which will be even better when the bridge on the old Keswick-Threlkeld route is open. The pod was well equipped but I couldn’t find the hairdryer which is a must in the Lakes & no wine glasses so had to buy two in Keswick. TV kept losing signal but nothing major. Will definitely book again.
Really gorgeous stay!
The luxury pod genuinely felt luxurious. It has direct access to Keswick via a footpath from the site, reception is easy to reach and there’s also a little onsite café, although we didn’t get a chance to try it. The location was convenient for trails too, the Helvellyn car park was only around a 10 minute drive away, and we walked from the holiday village to Castlerigg Stone Circle in about 40 minutes, which was a lovely scenic walk with animals along the way. The pod has a stove and oven, although the oven took us a little while to figure out (a quick Google helped!). The shower was gorgeous (although the bathroom is very small, so definitely a bit of a squeeze). The bedroom was lovely and really comfortable, and having smart TVs in both the bedroom and lounge was a great bonus. You can cast from your phone, although we occasionally had other guests trying to connect to the TV too so make sure you figure out the name of your tv through the settings
Previous reviews mentioned sound of rain from trees over roof.
I should have listened.No sleep on 1 1/2 nights due to constant clang of tree dropped water in torrential rain.Need to cut back or cover roof in another material. Although a good POD,the word "Luxury"shouldn't apply for the following reasons...Quilt cover was downright grubby at the head end ,sheet and towels marked and poorly washed,5 day stay and no towel swap!(fortunately we had our own),plates and cutlery from mixed sets and very poor quality,Salt and Pepper pots looked great but were empty, had to clean 2 outside chairs as they had weeks of dirt/grime/droppings on them. Great location and good outside space in a well kept site, but not a "Luxury" POD at the "Luxury" price.
