Greta House

Greta house is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of living space and an outdoor eating area.

The site is quiet and beautiful. The onsite team are very helpful. We had a problem with our shower which they fixed as soon as possible. The lower rating is for facilities, not the personnel who are lovely. My problem was that the tumble dryer made clothes smell bad - it needs a good clean. We also cleaned out the dish-washer spouts so hopefully this will work better for following guests - some previous guests had obviously broken a glass in it. But overall I would recommend this house.

The property is well located with easy access to Keswick and the surrounding area.

The bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable. There is a lovely path with direct access to the surrounding area. The holiday park is quiet and peaceful. Beware that the postcode does not take you to the holiday park! It took us a bit of time to find the place - other people signing in had the same issue. It would be a good idea to point this out during booking. The biggest issues we had were around the cleanliness. On the surface everything looked clean but the dishes in the cupboard had not been cleaned, almost all had remnants of food and there was an entire bowl of mouldy cereal!!! There were pieces of jigsaw under the sofa and having dropped an item down behind the console in the dining room, in trying to retrieve it I found the dust was unbelievably thick! The next issue was the flooring in both bathrooms. I am pretty sure the wrong tiles have been laid on the floor (wall tiles instead of flooring). They were both so slippery that in the end one of our group couldn’t shower because she slipped on the first night and got such a fright! Even a drop of water from the hand basin made the floor slippery. The kitchen bin was broken (they did replace this during our stay) and the plug in the top bathroom was stuck so the water did not drain. The dishwasher was useless and we resorted to handwashing what we used. I raised the cleanliness issues with the main reception and was told the day we arrived was a busy day! We enjoyed our stay in Keswick but would not return here. You don’t go on a break to clean the property and that’s exactly what we had to do… not a great.

Lovely little site which we loved was in walking distance to lots of places. All of the staff on site were extremely friendly and helpful. The house was clean and beautifully decorated with lots of space for our family and included Everything we needed for our stay.
