Robin's Nest

Cosy and Comfortable, just the ticket for a bit of R&R or Fellwalking if your the energetic sort.

Close enough to walk into Keswick and a bus service nearby. We had a lovely June break at Robin's Nest, recommended.

Really comfortable cabin to use as a base for exploring Cumbria.

Quiet site with lovely views. Everything needed for self catering. Comfortable bed - slept really well. Due to the unexpected heat wave no fan and unable to buy one locally but it didn't spoil our visit. Hope to revisit again in the future.

Perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Lakes A short 15 minute walk to Keswick this lodge if fully equipped with everything you need for a wonderful self catering holiday Spotlessly clean with views from your window of the sfelks towards Blencartha it made for a most peaceful weeks holiday and we wouldn’t hesitate to return

Cosy little oasis.

The perfect getaway place to recharge your batteries. Perfectly situated on the outskirts of Keswick yet within walking distance. The caravan was lovely and clean, all appliances easy to use. As a single lady I felt safe and secure. The views were stunning. I enjoyed watching the bird life and baby lambs prancing around the field. A definite rebook in the not too distant future.

Very well-equipped.

Cosy and comfortable. Instructions re heating were easy to follow. Great location to visit the surrounding area being near the A66 and couldn’t hear the traffic at all.

Perfect getaway.

Lovely quiet setting amongst the trees this property was a comfortable cosy home from home.

Well equipped with all you need. The bedroom would benefit from a net curtain for privacy. The few steps into the property are very slippery with wet weather and leaves so extra care needed if disabled. The smoke alarms should be tested more often than 6 months, so we tested them ourselves. Recommend this lodge for a break in the lakes.

Extremely comfortable, had everything we needed.

We found Robins nest quite comfortable and almost everything you needed was there.

The only thing we found disappointing was the shower, nice size but there was nowhere to put soap, shower gel and anything else you might need. Also for people our age (80+) it would be very handy to have a hand rail. Otherwise it was OK. Pauline Robinson.

A nice quiet site with views.

The cabin was warm and comfortable. Fixtures and fittings all good quality and stylish. Everything we needed was provided. With Self Catering you are never sure but we had everything, didn't need our extras or to go out and buy bin liners, tinfoil etc. There was a whole role of bin liners as apposed to one spare if you are lucky. There were plenty of crockery and saucepans, serving dishes etc. Just limited knifes and forks, but plenty of serving and cooking utensils. The kitchen and bathroom looked fairly new with Dishwasher and washing machine (and detergents) We were there for the Keswick Convention and was a nice 20 minute walk to venue, uphill coming back. There is a bus stop fairly near but limited times. Would stay there again. The site does not have any re-cycling bins so we took our bottles home or a place is recommended. Thank you for a 'home from home'.

Only downside was work being done on site was very noisy, should have been done out of season

Had a lovely break nice and relaxing the steps going into lodge where a bit spaced out could do with the gap not being so big between slats but would go back

The lodge was well equipped, clean and the location was excellent for exploring the Lake District.

We had a couple of meals at the local The Pheasant which were excellent. We would definitely return to Robins Nest and recommend to family and friends.

we have booked 4 different lodges at Burnside over the years and they are all really nice,well equipped,comfy and lovely views. Robins Nest was fine in general,only a couple of tiny gripes such as a low powered shower,loose connection on holder which kept falling forward and no shelf to put your shower gel etc.. on,we used the surface above the unit but bottles kept slipping off so this needs sorting,also the bathroom cabinet above the sink which only held a first aid kit and bottle of sanitiser needs replacing with just a mirror on the wall as everytime i leant forward to rinse my mouth after cleaning my teeth my head banged on the cabinet!! overall the lodge was comfy,warm and enjoyable if a tad cramped but it does state it only sleeps 2 thats not a problem.

Absolutely wonderful holiday very clean and tidy well equipped in a stunning location very peaceful and ideally situated for Keswick and surrounding area

The outside bins were overflowing with rubbish when we arrived on Saturday and not emptied until Wednesday. Rubbish in black bags was being placed in the bin are on the floor. The area smelled. The lodge is in a lovely quiet location just outside Keswick. It's an easy walk into the town or to Derwentwater.

First time at this property and it was more than I expected. Very comfortable and clean. Would book again without hesitation.

Location very handy for Keswick. Only negative I found the pine wooden panelling on walls and ceiling made everywhere dark. Could do with a refresh or maybe painting, otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
