What guests are saying
50th Anniversary treat spoiled.
Freezer faulty, lost food.Grill pan missing.Frying pan handle had to screw it back on Teflon coating damaged, needs replacing.Someone before us had broken 2 ornaments, removed a foot from 1 of the bar stools and there was a bulb missing from the breakfast bar light.Washing machine but no where to dry clothes.Tea towel and hand towel missing.Bath tap leaking enough to form a puddle on the floor that ran towards the doors Unfortunately there's more issues but I will not continue except to say relaxation was replaced by despair needless to say we left 2 days earlier.Hayley was informed of some of these issues. Sorted bulb, glasses, towels and a clothes horse.
Had a lovely few days in September here.
Lovely lodge with views of ducks etc in the ponds and surrounding fields. Quiet and tranquil. Well equipped in kitchen apart from there is no grill pan in the oven. Had to microwave bacon for our breakfast bacon barm! Shower in en suite is fabulous but a shelf for toiletries would have been very useful. Hot tub was in daily use. Because it’s under a large tree it didn’t matter when it rained once but we did buy a child’s fishing net to remove all the pine needles that fell into it. No hardship at all! Just a note for future guests there is no welcome pack at all so you have to bring all you need -even salt and pepper -but that’s ok if you know. beforehand. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would come again.
We stayed in Lodge 2 for 3 nights (Family of 4).
We had a fantastic break and can not wait to return. As it was the last week of the summer holidays, it was perfect! We got back into routine whilst enjoying family time. Waking up to a stunning view whilst eating breakfast by the lake, spending our evenings in the hot tub surrounded by nature - Every moment was blissful from start to finish. Core memories made and fun was had by all with such beautiful surroundings.
