What guests are saying
We had a lovely restful week.
Easy walk to lake and marina. Restaurant is very good, food was exceptional, we had a few good meals, including breakfast. Lodge is very comfortable and in a good position on park.
The lodge itself is great.
All the facilities are good, and the hot tub is a great addition and mostly why we booked. The location is really good, close to the water and very peaceful. Also, lovely addition having a dog bed there, my dog loved it and spent all his time in that rather than the basic one we have for him. Unfortunately when we arrived the main bedroom smelt of cigarettes. It wasn't overwhelming enough to affect us, we lit candles and used spray and we could mask it enough. I messaged the owner instantly just so he knew it wasn't from us as we don't smoke. He apologised, but I let him know that we didn't need him to do anything just wanted to make him aware. Only adding this to the review as I just want to make sure it's noted incase people after our stay end up with the same issue. The owner was very helpful, hot tub wasn't heating up one day and he got someone out within 10 minutes to sort it, checking the next day with me to make sure it was all ok still. Information received before we arrived was helpful as well, directions to the lodge were good. WiFi in the lodge was great as well, managed to watch netflix etc. whilst chilling on a rainy night. Extra facilities such as coffee machine and air fryer are nice things to have available and certainly came in useful. As did the dog bowls. Overall a good stay, great location and helpful owner. Would recommend and stay again.
Brilliant lodge well equipped, owner was very helpful will be booking again in the future
