25 Sherwood

We had a lovely time thanks

We had a truly exceptional 3 night stay at this cottage.

The property was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated. To top it up there was a luxury welcome pack left for us by the owner. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to recharge in comfort.

Very nice lodge, very clean throughout and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

The lodge was lovely, really well decorated, furnished and equipped with everything we needed and plenty warm enough despite rather cold weather.

We would certainly recommend it and hope to return ourselves.

Sherwood 25 is a credit to the owners, loved coming back after our day's out, the attention to detail was perfect, cosy, comfortable, and super clean.

Welcome pack was just lovely. A lovely stay. Dawn & Chris

We booked by phone and this was a smooth and efficient process.

The accommodation was first class and the hosts hospitality also. The only down side to our trip was that Sykes have now woken us four times ,once before the trip, once while we were there (at 5a.m) and twice since we returned home, at ridiculously early hours in the morning. If this is a new policy we would be reluctant to book with, or recommend, Sykes in the future.

Second time we have stayed, and will be back again.

Everything you could want and more, it is a credit to it's owners. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. Sarah even let us know lodge was ready earlier than expected. Lovely stay. Bev & Trevor

We had a fantastic stay for 2 weeks the welcome gift was very nice The lodge was very spacious and comfortable and the weather was good as well We are booked for next year again

Lodge owners happy to assist and with any questions and even advised lodge available earlier than anticipated!

Lovely added touch with food basket (emergency supplies of tea/coffee/milk/sugar/biscuits/crisps/wine). Very clean and well equipped lodge with comfortable bed and living space. Would definitely recommend!

This was a lovely lodge, everything about it was first class.

Well equipped and furnished to a high standard.

Spacious lodge, beautifully furnished and well equipped.

Every little detail was well thought out. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Everything clean bright and fresh

We had an excellent stay in 25 Sherwood.

The beautiful lodge had everything needed for our stay. It was beautifully clean, comfortable, a home from home and just what was needed for a relaxing long weekend.

Absolutely loved everything about the lodge and the facilities, would definitely recommend, and love to return.

Lovely lodge, bright, clean & comfortable.

Did have a struggle with the key lock but I have long nails so that was probably the reason. Owners left a very nice welcome basket which was much appreciated. Would happily use again.

We had a lovely week the Lodge was comfortable extremely clean and warm it was beautifully furnished with lovely little touches.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there - beautiful.Thankyou so much.

Excellent clean and comfortable property.

Everything provided for a home from home break.

A comfortable and very clean and well maintained lodge.

Some lovely touches including a welcome basket.

Spent a fabulous week at the lodge in August 2024.

The Lodge is beautiful, homely and immaculate. The welcome basket was so kind and thoughtful. Beds are really comfortable and the site is very well kept and quiet. Owner communication is great. We will definitely return and recommend to others.

Fantastic week at 25 Sherwood, can't wait to come back!

! Property was immaculate, incredibly high levels of cleanliness, with lovely attention to details, even my wife felt comfortable and she's a fussy holidaymaker! Felt very homely and we all had a really enjoyable stay. Lots of amenities on site, with supermarkets, attractions and things to do nearby. Had a wonderful family holiday, made lots of happy memories and cant recommend it highly enough.

What a lovely stay we had!

Such a homely place to stay. Very well kept lodge, nice and clean and detailed touches were lovely. The welcome basket was so nice to receive, thank you

25 Sherwood is an immaculately clean holiday lodge which provided an excellent base during our stay at South Lakeland Holiday Village.

It had everything we needed and the welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Our only grumbles were the size of the twin beds, which are more suited to children, not adult guests and Netflix which was mentioned in several lodge descriptions both online and in the welcome pack but didn't work. It was only after 2 visits by the owner that it was set up but only on 1 TV. It wasn't essential but it had been highlighted as a feature which was a little disappointing when it didn't work on either TV!

There was a lot of attention to detail, very calming home from home, ourselves & the grandchildren were very happy & had an excellent break.

Thank you to Sarah & Mark & the cleaner as well, there is nothing better than the feeling of everywhere being spotless, it adds the finishing touch to feeling very settled.

Another lovely week at No 25.

Very clean lodge very welcoming owners very helpful.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere so clean & well kept!

It makes such a difference to the homely feel. Such an immaculate lodge, cozy, warm and superbly decorated. Lovely quality throughout, it just felt really special. A nice welcome pack, fluffy towels, stylish bedding. We are fairly local so didn’t need to explore but spent time in Silverdale, Arnside and up to Windermere. Perfectly located for all. Can’t say much more, we loved it! Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Great lodge very clean everything you need is there.

Sarah & Mark are their if you need them.

The only thing that detracted from a perfect stay was the traffic noise from the nearby M6 which is beyond the owners control, otherwise the stay was very good

Our stay was perfect and found it very relaxing, maybe the only gripe we had was with the TV, my husband found it to be very frustrating at times, I read in previous reviews that others have mentioned this issue but wouldn’t stop us from returning.

The lodge is very well looked after, so clean and cosy, in-fact was above and beyond our expectations to make our stay comfortable. The welcome pack was a very nice surprise and very thoughtful of you to provide this. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for a lodge holiday in this beautiful area that you won’t go far wrong staying at number 25!!

This was an absolutely beautiful Lodge, clean and comfortable and welcome package was superb.

Every room was perfect and one could not have asked for anything better , I would not hesitate to stop there again. Thank you it made our holiday stay superb.

This was by far the best lodge we have shed in.

Fantastic is the only word I can use. The owners superb , contact brilliant. The lodge itself has everything u could need. The welcome pack superb, meant we didn't have to rush out to shop at once . All in all 100% thank you will return x

Hands down one of the best lodges we have stayed in.

Was clean, spacious and homely at the same time, absolutely made our weekend away perfect. Couldn't fault one bit of it. Will defienlty be coming back again.

We had a lovely stay at 25 Sherwood.

The lodge had everything we needed for a family of 4. The location is easy reach of lots of areas for us to explore.

What a spotless holiday home.

So beautifully designed and well maintained. You really do have a lovely place. There is no doubt about it that, David and I (Lisa), will definitely return to 25 Sherwood. Thank you so much for the complimentary basket, amazing and thoughtful gift. What a lovely surprise. We both really enjoyed our week stay. So relaxing and peaceful. It’s in a lovely spot. Thank you so so much - from Lisa and David

Absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable, warm lodge with everything you could need/ want and a lovely welcome pack.

Would definitely recommend and return

Fantastic lodge.

Clean and cozy. Will book again.

Absolutely gorgeous lodge.

The lodge decor and furnishings are beautiful. Everything is really good quality and there are so many lovely finishing touches. The lodge was absolutely spotless and fully stocked with everything you could need. There isn’t one thing I would fault.

Wow, words cannot express how much we loved the stay at this outstanding lodge!

All the reviews are true...it really is 10 out of 10... I couldn't find anything wrong with it, and I am VERY fussy!!! Wonderful owners... was met with a thoughtful welcome basket which we loved... Thank you again for having us, felt very lucky to be there.. Biggest love Helen, Darcey and Archie.

We booked 4 nights in this wonderful lodge.

The communication with the lodge owner was fantastic and when we arrived at the lodge there was a lovely welcome basket which was out of this world and much appreciated. The lodge was so clean. We will come and stay again had an excellent stay.

This property had the 'wow' factor.

Five stars for cleanliness, comfort and equipment. Welcome gift basket appreciated. Conveniently situated for the lakes, Morecambe and Blackpool. Owners kept in contact to make sure we were ok. Will definitely book again next year. I fully recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay at this property which was excellent, and a big thank you for a lovely welcome pack was really appreciated.

We love this lodge it's warm, comfortable, When you walk through the door you are greeted with a lovely welcome pack.

Sarah has introduced a set of small tables which is a great help. We hope to visit No 25 Sherwood next year. Love the park and lodge. Big thanks Eunice & Tom x

This is a well presented lodge and the cleanliness is excellent great location for visiting surrounding areas welcome basket and toiletries a great gesture and hosts that care about their guests with messages making sure you arrived at the lodge ok If you book you will not be disappointed

This lodge is amazing.

We'll equipped, very clean and welcoming. Home from home. Central to amenities and attractions to visit. Will definitely be returning.

Clean and well presented lodge.

The welcome basket of items was a nice gesture and it gives the feelings that the owners wants you to enjoy your stay at the lodge. The lodge is in a quite area so if you want to relax and enjoy the peace, it is well situated. Lovely outdoor patio and furniture to enjoy the sun. Lot of information is provided by the owners of local places that can be visited. I would recommend this place.

The Lodge was lovely.

Very clean and welcoming. The owners were easy to contact, and very helpful with any query. They had left a welcome basket of really nice goodies. The Lodge was very well equipped, and had a good outdoor space. The Park was very clean and well kept with a lovely lake and very nice indoor swimming pool. The pub had an indoor and outdoor eating area, overlooking the lake. The Lodge was the perfect place to relax after a day sightseeing. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to our next holiday in this Lodge.

This holiday property was lovely and clean.

There was a welcome pack which I thought was a lovely touch. Great location for exploring. The owner sent us a message when we arrived asking if everything was okay with accommodation which I thought was lovely. Very relaxing just what we needed.

Excellent Lodge would recommend to any body

Had a lovely time here.

The lodge was immaculate couldn’t fault anything thank you .

The holiday home was excellent.

Location was very good. Would highly recommend and hopefully return soon for another brilliant holiday

Wonderful relaxing break in a brilliant lodge.

Every facility provided that you would need. Beautiful well kept lodge. Comfortable beds. Perfect for rainy days inside watching films or sitting outside when sunny. Bedrooms made up like a hotel on arrival. Never received a welcome pack like it. Everything thought of. Will be back again. (As others have said, a small coffee table would be handy)

Very nice clean lodge for an away break.

My wife loved the welcome pack &. Appreciated that Sarah checked that everything was ok..

Everything was great.

The welcome hamper was very nice touch. One small moan, a small coffee table would be handy otherwise 5* The weather was atrocious, heavy rain and windy, but we we warm and cosy with our books and TV. We dined in the clubhouse a few times, limited menu but the food was good. .Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

A lovely place to stay when you need a break away.

You feel so welcome when you arrive .

Fantastic lodge, all you need and much more.

Owners thought of everything. Will be back and would definitely recommend.

Lovely lodge well placed for The Lakes and beaches.

The owners have thought of everything to make it a luxurious stay with lots of lovely finishing touches to make it a really special holiday. Much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent lodge and location big thank you to Sarah for meeting us at the gate and escorting us to the property.

Welcome pack was a delight and would have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

Such a beautiful lodge and situated in a lovely peaceful setting toward the rear of the park.

We had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us that was a very nice surprise. The park was very quiet but the waters edge setting is very picturesque though can be pricey particularly if you have children. That said we had a very relaxing stay and it’s a great place if your looking for a base to explore the Lake District and there’s a few hidden gems worth exploring close by. I’d say it’s well worth a visit.

Wow this caravan is amazing, spotlessly clean & so relaxing, Had everything you need and more.

Totally enjoyed are week and will be definitely booking again.

We had a great week at No 25 Sherwood very clean and comfortable.

The only thing I could think of to make things better in No25 is a small coffee table it's something small to suggest. Big thanks to Sarah for a lovely stay.

This is a beautiful log cabin with everything you need for a self catering holiday break.

A welcome pack is a nice touch for the guests, beautiful towels and hand wash and sanitiser available in abundance .We have been here twice and would not hesitate to return. If you fancy a meal at the on site pub and restaurant I would say book as soon as you arrive as they fill up fast, the food was very good and also we had a take away pizza excellent.

I would recommend the accommodation, the site and area.

The lodge was immaculate, and the owner had left some lovely treats which were appreciated. The site has a bar/restaurant, swimming pool and launderette. We would definitely stay again.

A lovely holiday lodge.

Beautifully decorated throughly and everything has been thought of in the lodge by the owners. It is in a great location for the lakes and a visit to Morecambe is well worth it. One tiny downside is this lodge is situated right next to the M6 so proves quite noisy at times, sitting outside wasn’t particularly relaxing due to the this.

A little gem.

The Leisure village is very well laid out. This lodge is lovely and very well presented. The welcome basket was very generous. Lovely place to stay and in easy reach of many of the well known Lake district attractions.

25 Sherwood was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and a lovely welcome basket was left for us, which was an extremely nice thought.

The only downside for us was that there were two adults sharing the second bedroom and it was lacking in space and as my husband repeatedly told me, he had to get out of the bed during the night if he wanted to turn over!! It certainly wasn't that bad, but it wasn't ideal for us though it gave us many laughs. For a couple with children however, it would be ideal and I would certainly recommend a stay there.

Good clean comfortable lodge, everything we needed.

Sarah and Mark very nice and helpful, thank you. Margaret and Dave.

Everything was perfect, lovely and clean and everything was provided for to make our stay enjoyable.

Thank you for the welcome pack it was very thoughtful and got us off to a great start . We hope to come back again soon and we’ll recommend 25 Sherwood to all our family & friends.

The lodge is beautifully furnished, and equipped.

The owners provided everything we could possibly need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and included not only the basics, ie tea, coffee and milk, but also cake, wine and fruit. We would certainly recommend the lodge.

Great communication from the owner ahead of our visit.

The lodge was immaculate - modern, clean, homely and very well equipped for self catering. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the provision of towels and toiletries was similar to a boutique hotel. Fantastic break, fabulous accommodation, would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely, comfortable, well equipped lodge.

Great location and excellent swimming pool and gym on site.

We loved our stay in this lodge and would definitely stay there again

Great lodge - shame the weather was not as great!

Had a wonderful stay here!

When we arrived we had a welcome package of milk, cakes etc which was really nice. Any issues we had Sarah resolved straight away with no hassle. Lodge was clean and tidy, very comfortable and even had essential items left for us to use, I.e. bin bags and tea towels, which we forgot

The chalet was very clean and tidy and far nicer than past experiences we have had with static caravans which have been old, out dated, smelly and musty.

Boiler was very good providing plenty of hot water and we even had to turn it down and off at times for the heating as it got too hot which was a first for us in a static caravan!! Plenty of room and well equipped. Couple of things to add to the chalet which would make it better - a small coffee table in the lounge area for cups of tea, we had to leave them on the kitchen table so not to accidently spill them on the carpet which was very annoying. More plastic based cooking utensils for use with the non stick pots/pans, it would be a shame for them to get ruined with scratches from the metal ones. The one big thing that let the chalet down and stopped me giving full marks across the baord was the matteress. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a better firmer mattress that has more springs and does not collapse when you sit on it. Everytime I turned in bed I felt a spring in my back move and by the end of the night was getting uncomfortable. I nearly decided to sleep several times on the sofa for more comfort. Money has been clearly spent elsewhere in the chalet and the mattress seems to have been an after thought. Sort that and score will be 10/10 across everything. It will be interesting to see the chalet in 2 years time after more use to see if the maintainance and cleanliness has been kept up. Overall really enjoyed the chalet and would book again if we were in the area.

The lodge was very comfortable.

There was a welcome pack from the owners with essentials which was a nice touch. The location was very good a well maintained site and accommodation that was perfect in every way. It was clean, everything inside was new the owners obviously take pride in their lodge which is reflected in the appearance, amenities and equipment. There was nice decking area with table and chairs, also a BBQ if you wanted to use. All in all 25 Sherwood is highly recommended as a place to enjoy a break, we would definitely use it again and recommend to anyone wishing to have a stress free and perfect holiday.

Beautiful compact new lodge, ideal for two adults.

Everything was of the highest quality and Sarah the owner left a beautiful gift pack for the start of our stay. The lodge faces the sun in the afternoon and is fitted with very high quality wicker furniture on new decking, there is even a gas B.B.Q for use. We needed to use the map of the site to negotiate our way out from the lodge as it is a one way system and if you are of a certain age it is quite a walk to the pub. It is in a quiet area of the site but there is some road traffic noise, but this did not bother us we slept soundly on the comfortable king size bed.

This lodge is stunning from the interior to the attention to detail by the owner.

The pictures of the lodge almost don’t do it justice. We arrived on the Friday after a long trip to find not only a immaculately clean lodge but a welcome pack with everything we needed such tea, coffee, milk etc even a small bottle of Prosecco. The park is stunning a with the lodges situated in around the lake. There is a restaurant and a Pure gym on the grounds. Their spin class was set up outside for covid allowing people to feel safe. After exploring we found out was well situated. It is about 20mins to Morecambe, 1/2 hour to Windermere and 50mins to Lytham St Annes. We will be back and have not stopped raving about it since we returned.
