41, Grandma's Cottage

My three friends and I were very pleased with the accommodation.

It was very clean and comfortable. There was a constant supply of hot water and the bathroom facilities were good. We found all the facilities in the kitchen excellent too. However the one problem we had was the beds. One of our party occupied the double bed which left the single beds for the remaining three adults. The beds were very small and two beds in a small room made it difficult. I think it would be advisable for Sykes to state in the description of the accommodation that the single beds were more suited to children and not adults.

Great location, caravan as described and great layout.

Cleanliness- was a little disappointed as food had been left in the freezer. Plates and pans and Cutlery along with cooking utensils had remnants of food on from past occupants. On arrival there was already a bin liner in the bin and when we came to empty our waste we found that the bottom of the bin also had mouldy food under bag inside the actual bin which consequently dripped everywhere when we lifted the bag. The cooker hood is greasy and the ceilings inside could do with a dust to remove the dead flies/insects. We left a note inside the property so hopefully who ever cleans will take note. This however would not deter us booking again. Just a little more attention to detail needed.

the lodge was clean and well equipped but our stay was spoiled by work going on all day close by plus a noisy water system which made loud noises the only way i could stop it was by wedging a glass under the tap

Love it, absolutely fabulous, thinking of booking again, everything you need, towels, soap, cooking utensils, even had Netflix which was great for the rainy days.

Perfectly placed so we could go up to the lakes or down to Lancaster, The facilities on site were really good, across the road, the bar and restaurant were lovely, food nice staff so friendly. I found the health centre expensive for a week, was clean and had a decent selection of equipment, spa was a bit lacking compared to others I have been to.

Great location.

Site was clean and quiet. Accommodation was as described and beds, linen clean and fresh. Kitchen well stocked with all that was needed. Loved the ducks, they even knocked in the door one night
