The lodge is lovely with a very well stocked kitchen for when you're wanting to cook up a storm and comfy beds and sofa.

The garden was perfect for our little dogs to run in, only thing people need to be aware of is the wooden decking is very slippery, so take care when walking out of the lounge and make sure your dogs don't run on it to avoid injury. For frequent staycationers with Sykes this property doesnt provide a welcome pack so make sure you have your own milk for that first cuppa/coffee on arrival. The setting is incredibly peaceful, only noise you hear is the wildlife and if you're lucky you can spy the red squirrels along with mamy bunnies who come visit the garden. We will definitely return.

Just returned from a weeks stay at 26 Duke's Meadow & we loved it.

The cabin is beautiful & spacious with everything you need, though a fan or 2 would have been really appreciated as the heatwave made it very warm inside even with curtains drawn & windows open. The garden is excellent! Fully enclosed (perfect for oyr dog), beautiful & a real joy to use, watching the birds & rabbits play around, plus it has the sun all day too. It was very peaceful & a great location for days out to The Lakes & surrounding area. Would book again & recommend it to others.
