Bluebell Lodge

Blue Bell lodge was an excellent choice of accommodation for us.

it had everything we needed for our stay in Yorkshire. Fully equipped kitchen if you are intending to cook. Plenty of towels enabling a change after a couple of days. Clean bed linen. Ideally located in the idyllic Gargrave,for the places we were visiting . It was a quiet place which is always pleasing for us. Plenty of places to eat and small supermarket nearby if you need anything. Highly recommended.

The property as before was clean and comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and function perfectly. Ample storage spaces for clothes and baggage. Lovely location for touring the region.

Nice lodge in a nice part of Yorkshire.

Lodge is on a site which appears to be residential and rental lodges, and a 1 minute drive to village centre. Lodge was clean, tidy and comfy, but was showing some bits that need live and attention. The beds are not comfortable if your used to a firmer mattress and the pillows where very lumpy and uncomfortable. The patio could also do with a clean to remove bird dropping and algae. Overall though, the Lodge is spacious for a short break and I would book again if in that area.

It's a really great lodge.

My family has a great time there. It's a little tricky to find the entrance, following the instructions, I was looking for a stream and as the address says Milton House you pass that and we got confused. Anyway, really well presented lodge, has everything a family of 4 needed. We had a great time. That lodge is well made, has a good kitchen, bathrooms, space. Quiet area. Great access to the dales. Feedback: it has no WiFi. In today's world, we felt, as mobile reception isn't always great around there, WiFi seems more of a should have, restart than nice to have. When we went to empty the bins, we couldn't find any bins anywhere on site. It wasn't just us, a neighbour also couldn't find any, so at checkout we had to leave bin bag in lodge as we had no where to dispose of our waste.

Fabulous lodge.

First impressions were great. Accommodation was impressive and new looking. Site was well kept and lots of walks nearby and small village with shops and pubs. Rail station close by too for quick and easy journey onto Skipton.

Bluebell Lodge is in a lovely location.

Site was peaceful and quiet. Only a 10 minute stroll to the local pub and in a few further minutes you can be in the centre of the village or at the railway station. Good transport links to Skipton, Settle and beyond with regular bus and train services, we only used our car once throughout our week's stay. There is a Co Op in the village plus a fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant and takeaway and another pub . The lodge itself is well equipped and has everything you need. Comfy beds, good kitchen area, quality furnishings, warm and cosy. USB sockets would be useful. My only niggle is that the decking area and steps need a good clean. They were very slippery due to algae and the outside motion sensor light didn't work which added to the hazard. Also I don't know who is responsible for the actual site maintenance but there is a well laid path and steps through the trees to the main road so you don't have to go to the main entrance to get out on foot. The steps were covered in wet leaves and again very slippery but my main issue is that although there were lights along the path and by the steps these weren't working, so a real hazard when you're coming back to your lodge after dark from a day out. Other than that, extremely happy with our stay and would definitely return to this lodge.

What an amazing lodge. It is beautiful. The setting is so serene and tranquil it provides a super place to escape and relax. The lodge has everything you need and is really comfortable, and what a luxury having a utility room. Will definitely return.

It’s really a nice place to stay, but it would be even better if you add some outdoor games for kids to share between all lodges.

The property is excellent and the site is very quiet we had a lovely stay.

My only criticism is that the door into the en-suite bathroom catches on the floor and doesn’t open fully enough. Otherwise a faultless stay.

A really lovely property, finished to a high standard & appliances were like new.

The whole property was immaculately clean. The lodge is a short walk from the beautiful village of Gargrave where there is two lovely pubs, an Indian restaurant, tea rooms & a co-op. The site where the lodge is located is quite small with a few similar lodges, we found the location to be very quiet & peaceful.

This property was very clean and comfortable, in a delightful setting that was peaceful and quiet.

Whilst we realised the property was under several trees,which in itself is fine but the lack of cleaning utensils ie a broom which ment we could not brush away or clean the decking or table and chairs meaning the decking was not used the whole holiday.

Lodge was magnificent,from walking in we new we was in the best lodge we had ever been in .

The space was amazing the facilities was second to none , definitely will return, sat outside in the mornings listening to the birds was brilliant, well done to everyone,gargrave is a lovely place a day out to Skipton was lovely Skipton is a superb place .

It was so comfortable, warm, clean and spacious. We took our recycling home as there only appeared to be one bin. We would definitely book Bluebell Lodge again. Thank you!

Second visit this year !

We love this lodge. It is presented to a very high standard in terms of cleanliness and comfort. We appreciated phone help when we had some ‘pilot error’ with the tv. A quiet and pleasant setting with easy parking. We hope to return.

Close enough to walk into village where there is a really good choice of places to eat, walks and a train station. Already considering a return visit.

The Lodge is so luxurious and has everything yiu need we didn't want to go Home. Gargrave is the perfect location for visiting places like Malham, Skipton and Bolton Abbey. Will definately be back. This is our second visit to Milton Park but a different Lodge.

We would love to stay there again sometime in the future. Your listing was only wrong in one regard - there are now electric car charging points in the village car park in Gargrave!

Bluebell Lodge ticked all the boxes when reading the summary online.

However it was a surprise finding that there was no WiFi. I had to use costly mobile data to logon to my mobile. Also there were no rubber bathmats or extra loo rolls which would have easily been rectified. Comfort is paramount after all when away from home. The design and thought that has gone into the construction of the lodge is impressive and was very much appreciated.

We had a fantastic relaxing holiday.

Bluebell lodge is beautifully crafted with first class fixtures and fittings. On arrival the lodge was warm and welcoming, with lamps and skirting lights switched on, which was a lovely touch. Tea bags and soaps were also very welcome after a journey and everywhere was spotlessly clean. This is such a peaceful spot with beautiful walks. Absolutely perfect. We didn't want to leave!

The only downside was lack of WiFi

Patio decking, table & chairs, handrails and steps, were covered in bird droppings.

Comfortable lodge with excellent beds and bedlinen.

Good supply of mugs, glasses and kitchen utensils. Good position for visiting area, also good local pub and shop. The unexpected separate utility room was great for washing, drying and extra storage. A few minor additions would have enhanced the stay:- larger dinner plates or bowls(only smallish plates and small bowls); oven gloves; a fan (we were extremely hot and uncomfortable some days); an umbrella on the decking area,;something to open the sky light in kitchen area; a few hooks, especially in bathroom - and less minor but not made clear in description - WI-FI.

Very well equipped and comfortable property in first class condition Nice quiet location convenient for travel elsewhere.

Verandah garden table and seating could do with a sun umbrella. On hot days, lounge would benefit from a fan (although the bedrooms stay cool). Would definitely visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Bluebell Lodge.

It is a light and spacious, very comfortable, well equipped, warm and welcoming lodge. The site is lovely and quiet with plenty of bird life and song...so relaxing to both see and hear! It is also just a short walk into the centre of Gargrave too. It is certainly a place we will return to.

A very pleasant lodge with good facilities.

We enjoyed our stay, finding it quite comfortable. As usually provided in Sykes cottages, it would have been nice to have had a welcome pack with a little milk and a few biscuits, but we found tea bags and a little coffee, which was appreciated. The place really needs to have wi fi. Also bath and shower mats, as it was easy to slip. But a place with good potential.
