Mother’s Day this year falls on Sunday 30th March, the same weekend that the clocks go forward. Why not stay the weekend and really indulge mum?
Check out our last minute breaks here for Mother’s Day weekend from Friday-Monday.
We’ve lots of lovely Mother’s Day lodges to choose from, and mum might enjoy a hot tub to relax in, or one where she can bring the pooch.
If your mum likes afternoon tea, there are so many to list and scores of places to try in the Lakes.
From posh hotels, to cute cafes, fabulous farms, tea-rooms and pubs, and distilleries and breweries, everyone is busy making their own afternoon tea with a twist.
A few of our favourites are: Henrock at Linthwaite House, The Lingholm Kitchen set on a beautiful estate on Derwentwater, The award winning Farm shop at Low Sizergh Barn, near Kendal; Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa near beautiful Bassenthwaite, The Fizzy Tarte in Bowness. The Alternative Afternoon Tea at the Wild Boar Hotel in Crook for something a bit different or the delicious Wood Fired Afternoon Tea at the Low Wood Bay .

Or if you want to stay put for Mother’s Day, why not treat Mum in style in your lodge or at home: check out Simon Rogan meal boxes – delivered direct to your lodge with simple instructions for making your delicious Michelin-star meal right at home.
