I was born in Bath but have lived in the Lakes for over 10 years now. I always visited the Lakes growing up with my Grandma having been born in Ambleside, it was always a home away from home.

There’s so many that I’ve done over the years, however, there’s nothing quite like completing Scafell Pile- it is a challenge but so rewarding
Go-to spot for food and drink in the Lakes
Definitely Doi Inthanon in Ambleside, the Thai food here is delicious. Also, The Highwayman in Kirkby Lonsdale – simply some of the best food I’ve ever had!
Favourite things about living and working in the Lake District
Springtime here is my favourite, it is such a beautiful season. Watching the lakes wake up from winter is fantastic to see.

I was actually born in west Yorkshire but I took a downgrade (just kidding) and moved to Cumbria in the early 90’s. I have lived here since then and love life over the border in the Lakes. My spare time I’m an avid Manchester United supporter!

I should do more walking, but Orrest Head is a lovely short walk from Windermere with amazing views at the top!
Go-to spot for food and drink in the Lakes
I am probably biased but a good friend of mine owns a pub in Bowness called ‘the Quayside’ sat on Lake Windermere with amazing views and great food!
Favourite things about living and working in the Lake District
Just the beauty of the surroundings really, I have been lucky enough to work in jobs where I have had views of Lake Windermere.

Homeground in Windermere is a must they do the best eggs benny around, and Lake Road Brunch in Keswick – a new find but also very delicious
