First up let us introduce to you Romany, our fantastic Owner Success Manager.
How long have you worked for Lake District Lodge Holidays?
I have worked for LDLH for 5 years.
What do you love most about the Lake District?
The history it holds and the views from the fells – there’s nothing quite like it.
What do you do in your spare time?
Try and find new areas to enjoy a family walk. Most of my spare time is taken up with being a mum!
Where is your favourite place to eat?
Doi Inthanon in Ambleside – their Thai food is the best I have ever had! Also The Highwayman near Kirkby Stephen is a great place too.
What is your favourite food?
Italian!
What three words would you use to describe Lake District Lodge Holidays?
Local, committed, and efficient.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about holidaying in The Lake District?
Pack for all weather, you never quite know what the day will bring. Have plenty of change for the car parks in the area, and most importantly, explore! There is so much out there!
Tell us three fun facts about yourself.
I can recite every Harry Potter film by heart, I’m crazy about cats – I have to limit myself to 2, and I dance around my kitchen with my daughter.
Have you stayed in one of our properties?
Yes I spent Christmas 2022 with all my family in a large cottage together. Its was lovely
In your opinion, what is the most scenic spot in the area?
I don’t have just one. Tarn Hows is gorgeous, Orrest Head has incredible views, and if you catch Scafell Pike on a clear day then you are treated to the most spectacular views.
If someone is looking for an amazing holiday, what are the best activities to try in the area?
Brockhole-on-Windermere is fantastic and there is something for all the family, hiring a boat on either Windermere or Coniston is always fun, swimming in the lake and the Rydal Caves are worth a visit too!
