Elter Luxury Pod

Previous reviews mentioned sound of rain from trees over roof.

I should have listened.No sleep on 1 1/2 nights due to constant clang of tree dropped water in torrential rain.Need to cut back or cover roof in another material. Although a good POD,the word "Luxury"shouldn't apply for the following reasons...Quilt cover was downright grubby at the head end ,sheet and towels marked and poorly washed,5 day stay and no towel swap!(fortunately we had our own),plates and cutlery from mixed sets and very poor quality,Salt and Pepper pots looked great but were empty, had to clean 2 outside chairs as they had weeks of dirt/grime/droppings on them. Great location and good outside space in a well kept site, but not a "Luxury" POD at the "Luxury" price.

We had a fantastic stay at Low Briery Holiday Park.

The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful next to the River Greta, with beautiful mountain views all around. It made an ideal base for exploring the Lakes. The old railway line next to the holiday park was especially useful, giving an easy and scenic 20-minute walk into beautiful Keswick, where we enjoyed several meals and drinks without needing to drive or worry about parking. The pod itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The only slight negative was during heavy rain, as the noise of rain dripping from the trees onto the pod roof woke us several times during the night. However, this could easily be solved with ear plugs. One suggestion that would really improve the site would be dog wash facilities, such as an outdoor tap or hose, to help clean down muddy dogs after long walks. Overall, we would highly recommend Low Briery Holiday Park and will definitely return.

The pod was lovely.

However, the steps leading up to it are very dangerous. They start off ok with small shale, but halfway up they are filled with much larger and very loose shale. This feels like an accident waiting to happen. The shale is loose underfoot and, if wet, is very slippery. I think a large handled brush would be useful if you want occupants to leave it tidy, as a hand brush is not sufficient. Better quality toilet rolls would be nice. Having said all that, it was a really nice place to stay.

Great accommodation and fabulous location, just a short walk into Keswick.

Very comfy bed, tv in bedroom a nice touch. Our Sprocker felt at home immediately. Would definitely return.

Fantastic shower - used lovingly after many soakings from rain. Surviving 'Storm Amy' on first night was an entertaining experience as the pod was in among the trees (mostly oak) so acorns galore drumming on the roof with the rain
