  • “On the Thursday evening we were left with no gas supply.”

This meant no heating, hot water or cooking. I was in the middle of cooking steaks in a pan when the gas supply ran out. So on our last evening in the lodge our dinner was spoiled and our plans to go the hot tub then shower were also spoiled. The e-mail sent from you to confirm the details of our booking gave a mobile number for emergencies. When I called that it was the on call person for White Cross Bay park, we were staying at Fallbarrow park! I then tried a second landline number which referred me to an online service. I logged our details and was concerned about someone getting back to me. As feedback to you at this point a telephone call from yourselves with reassurance regarding fixing the matter and perhaps an apology would certainly have been appreciated. This would have helped to take away the stress we were feeling about the thought of no heating or hot water until the next day! The lack of update and contact from yourselves was a big fail. We managed to contact the warden for Fallbarrow park through the bar manager. Gas supply was restored through a mixture or this warden replacing the 2 empty gas cylinders and my husband managing to reset the boiler. Not the relaxing last evening of our holiday and we have yet to received an apology or explanation from you. I look forward to your response! Louise Waddell
