    “Absolutely fantastic accommodation in the heart of the Lake District, in a quaint little village only approximately a 20/25 minute drive from Lake Windermere.”

    Waking up to the most beautiful view on a morning and even having that same beautiful view whilst relaxing in the hot tub was utter bliss, and so peaceful and quiet too. Louise (and her gorgeous Labrador Roxy) was so welcoming when we arrived and always on hand if needed. Louise also gave us some of her personal favourite recommendations for eateries within the village and local area, but there were also facilities within the lodge for if we wanted to cook for ourselves. We will definitely ...

The historic, South Lakeland village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District. The Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England, remains the heart of the community with its gatehouse forming the entrance to the village. The village features pretty streamside walks, quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, a charming gift shop, welcoming, traditional pubs serving real ale, the nationally acclaimed, Michelin Star awarded L'Enclume restaurant, and the Cartmel Village shop, which sells the famous sticky toffee pudding.
