    “1. Mens undies found in drawer.”

    2. En-suite shower tray was blocked and would not drain. 3, Used soap found in shower caddy in En-Suite. 4. WiFi utterly useless, even the TV would not work. 5. When booking the description said there was a coffe machine, there was no such thing and it mysteriously disappeared from the descripton. 6. When booking the description said there was membership for Troutbeck Bridge spa, but this also disappeared after we arrived. Totaly dissapointed with the lodge, its SUPPOSED amenities that were not ...

We even telephoned the cleaning staff as per THEIR notice on the wall on arrival, but they never got beck to us. Would NOT recommend this lodge to anyone, and will not be staying again.

Welcome to Lakeshaven, a three bedroom traditional lodge in a woodland setting Lakeshaven is a traditional style pine lodge in the Skiptory Howe area of White Cross Bay.

It enjoys a private position on the park with woodland to three sides of the lodge plus a secluded and private deck to two sides.

With its nautical theme and contemporary styling, Lakeshaven offers a cosy retreat ideal for couples or families looking for a quiet location.

The lodge will sleep up to 6 guests plus an infant in a travel cot.

It's perfect for a romantic getaway or simply as a base to explore the Lakes. Accommodation Details Living area: - A charming open plan carpeted lounge and tiled dining area - Furniture includes 2 faux leather sofas and 2 armchairs - Dining table with 6 chairs - Flat screen TV and DVD player plus soundbar with Bluetooth connectivity - Set of patio doors leading out onto the side deck Kitchen area: - There is 1 step up to the fully equipped kitchen which is semi divided from lounge with 'island' sink and drainer - Equipment includes a 4 ring gas hob, built in oven and grill, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster, ample cutlery and crockery plus plenty of storage space Master bedroom: - The larger master bedroom has a king size bed - Built in wardrobes including above bed storage and bedside cabinets - Standing TV - Patio doors open out onto a secluded and private part of the deck to the side of the lodge - En suite shower room with thermostatic shower, toilet, basin, vanity unit and shaving point Second bedroom: - The second bedroom has a double bed - Built in wardrobe including above bed storage space and bedside tables Third bedroom: - The third bedroom has twin beds - Wardrobe and bedside table Bathroom: - The family bathroom has a three quarter size bath, over bath shower, mirror vanity unit and toilet Other information: - Please note: Lakeshaven is located on a hill within the Skiptory Howe area of White Cross Bay - For families with children – the area immediately around the lodge may not be suitable for playing outside.

White Cross Bay

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park. Consisting of many lodges, it offers a restaurant, pub, shop, entertainment room, amusement arcade, indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, children's staffed activity centre, marina and outdoor play areas. Lake Windermere, the largest and most popular in the area, boasts a wide range of lakeside activities from walking and cycling to rowing, horse riding, taking a trip on the steam railway, plus lake cruises from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside and down to Lakeside, which has a celebrated aquarium. Children will also enjoy The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere, where technology brings her characters to life, and Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its Treetop Trek aerial adventure is a short walk away from the site. WINDERMERE

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

Lakeshaven is accessed by 7 shallow steps. There is 1 step up to the kitchen area.

The lodge is located at the top of a steep hill. The area immediately around and to the side of the lodge is steep and caution is advised.

A travel cot will fit in the master bedroom only.

A travel cot and highchair are provided at the lodge and are free of charge.

White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.

Complimentary WiFi is provided by the park and subject to fair usage guidelines.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
