  • “The position of the lodge made it feel like a tree house.”

Loved the space and facilities in the lodge and on the veranda.. Location was very good for exploring the Lake District and the bus stop right outside the gate - with the open top bus running - meant we could leave the car behind for a couple of trips.

Loved the space and facilities in the lodge and on the veranda.. Location was very good for exploring the Lake District and the bus stop right outside the gate - with the open top bus running - meant we could leave the car behind for a couple of trips. The only slight negative is the "shop" on site. There was so little to buy that we had to leave the camp to buy even basic groceries..
