Ruskin Lodge is a stylish, single-storey lodge nestled on White Cross Bay Holiday Park in Troutbeck Bridge, which lies in between Windermere and Ambleside towns. Perfectly placed near local amenities, attractions and Lake Windermere, Ruskin Lodge enjoys an idyllic spot for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle, enveloped by the beautiful Lake District National Park. Park up and make your way up to the enclosed decked area, a haven for alfresco mealtimes when the sun is shining. Step indoors and enjoy the open-plan living space, complete with a fully-equipped kitchen, dedicated dining space for six, and plenty of plush seating, ready to sink into in front of the electric fire. If the weather allows, throw open the patio doors and enjoy some refreshments from outside, before retreating indoors for a film night. Three well-appointed bedrooms are on offer, including a double with en-suite, a further double, and a triple bunk room, all serviced by a sleek shower room. The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. The bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are close by, providing a range of amenities including shops, pubs and cafes. Lake Windermere boasts a range of lakeside activities, including trips to the famous Aquarium and the renowned Grizedale Forest Park, whilst children will enjoy the World of Beatrix Potter in nearby Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. With destinations such as Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all within easy reach, Troutbeck Bridge is an ideal location for exploring all that the region has to offer.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
