  • “The site is lovely and peaceful and a convenient place to use as a base to explore further afield.”

The lodge itself is possibly one of the best equipped lodges we've ever stayed in; it really has everything you need. Not overly impressed with the maintenance team though. The outside light had a dodgy sensor which meant we were in semi-darkness most of the time outside in the evening and it was way too hot to sit inside the lodge. Added to this was the fact that the hot tub light was also broken so outside lighting was poor. The main bathroom light also stopped working so there was no way to use this room once it was dark without leaving the door wide open. Despite reporting all this nothing was fixed. The maintenance team really need to improve their customer service to match the quality of the lodge itself.

Thank you for your feedback and we are delighted to hear of how much you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry to hear you had a few maintenance issues and these were not resolved during your stay. We shall discuss this with our maintenance team further and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We do hope this did not impact your stay too much and you will return in the future. Owner relations
