    “Property is clean,comfortable with a well equipped kitchen.”

    However no shower mat provided and shower is very slippery when wet. Also following a power cut boiler control went down, on phoning both the given numbers I was amazed to find 1 off grid in America and 2nd on in Kent. He did manage to send family member over but unfortunately she also didn't understand controller. I therefore up using CH on manual

    Hi Sandra I am so sorry about this. There was obviously a breakdown in communication. I am away visiting my daughter in the US but I have been contactable via WhatsApp or text and have been continuing to run things as normal. If I had known, I would have contacted my boiler man who is often on site. He would have popped along and sorted it out for you. For future reference if there are any problems send me a text. WhatsApp is best Property Owner

The property

The Hideaway is a tastefully decorated static caravan resting on the tranquil Brigham Holiday Park, two and a half miles away from the market town of Cockermouth in Cumbria.

There is much going on in the area and the homely interior of the property provides the perfect base for a family break in the Lake District.

Be greeted by the property's alluring open-plan living area; it offers comfortable seating placed in full view of the TV and stylish electric fire, what better place to let your hair down after a long day?

The kitchen area is fresh and well-appointed, providing all that you need to prepare those delicious meals, which can be enjoyed at the charming dining table.

The Hideaway's two fabulous bedrooms can be found at the rear; they are pleasantly decorated for you to feel right at home during your stay and the master bedroom benefits from a convenient en-suite cloakroom.

The interior is topped off with an immaculate tiled shower room.

To the outside, there is an extensive decking area with plenty of seating for everybody to enjoy a refreshing drink whilst appreciating the fresh country air.

Cockermouth is a lovely base for your holiday; it boasts a wide range of amenities to make the most of.

From here you can access the magnificent Lake District National Park, brimming with scenery and some wonderful towns and villages to visit.

Come to The Hideaway to enjoy a peaceful break at any time of year.

About the location

COCKERMOUTH

Bassenthwaite Lake 7 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
