What guests are saying
What a wonderful house to stay.
We were so happy we chose here. The house was immaculately clean. Beds were comfy. The living area was spacious and relaxing and had loads of hook and board games to play. The kitchen was well stocked with all cooking equipment you could need. Whitbarrow Village where the house is was simply wonderful. Very quiet area at night. Pool, gym, table tennis and crazy golf all available to use for free. There's also a restaurant which was not cheap but very nice with a lovely view (and not crazy expensive compared to the high prices in the Lake District restaurants anyway). I had to convince my family to choose here over a hotel and as it turned out they loved it and were so glad we chose to stay here. Would recommend to anyone.
Honeybee cottage is like no other holiday cottage I have been in.
The home from home comforts and facilities far surpass the plain, basic, bland facilities of the majority of others. It is all in the tiny details like the decor. You can tell it is loved. When you walk in you get that homely feeling. Definitely a superior stay.
The cottage was very well equipped and overall comfortable and clean.
We unfortunately found the beds a bit too hard and the children's room was too small for our teenage son with no wardrobe and very limited floor space. We had lots of sunshine when we were there but found that due to the location of the cottage the balcony did not get the sun and the patio (which was shared with the adjacent property) was north/west facing/shaded by trees.
