    “When we arrived at 4:30pm the cottage had not been cleaned.”

    This was resolved but took a couple of hours. The lodge is on more of a building site than a holiday park. There is no WiFi so no smart TV’s - Netflix etc… The bifold patio doors magnet got stuck so we was unable to close them on our first night stay, with having young children this wasn’t great, and very unsafe. The lodge is tired and needs some TLC to justify the £220 per night we paid, this was during the week too. We expected much more.

    Thank you for your feedback, however it is not accurate at all and it is very dissapointing to read your review. Thankfully people reading all our other lovely reviews will see your intent. You arrived at 3pm and yes through complete human error our cleaner had missed this lodge. This has NEVER happened before. She arrived by 3.30pm and had it spotless for you. We refunded you £100 for the inconvenience. You were very nice to our face and understood and were really friendly. You then sent abusive messages late at night and videos of the cooker saying it didn't work, however it did you just had it on the wrong setting. The bi fold door magnet would not release and this was at 9am NOT over night so please don't lie. We had someone there within 20 mins and he found a sticky substance all over the magnet - very strange. He removed the substance and the magnet was fine. The lodge is far from tired and our site is not a building site. You were basically after a free holiday and I don't think you realise how such malicious reviews can effect people's business. We pride ourselves on the amount of return guests we have throughout the year which is testament to their experience and stay. Property Owner

The property

This superb, detached ground floor lodge is situated on the outskirts of Gargrave alongside the River Aire amongst a small development of luxury lodges.

This modern lodge has been skilfully constructed with excellent features.

Presented to a high standard with contemporary styling throughout, the lodge is spacious and comprises an open plan living area with a designer kitchen with a Belfast sink, a breakfast bar, dining area and a sitting area with lovely views through the full length windows out across the park to open countryside.

There is a lovely master bedroom with an en-suite containing a state-of-the-art shower.

A further twin bedroom and superb bathroom add further to the first-class feel of this lovely lodge.

Bi-fold doors from the living room lead out onto the front decked area which is ideal for relaxing.

This property is lovely and cosy in the winter.

This fantastic lodge is just a short walk from Gargrave where you will find some excellent amenities.

There are many walks available in the area and the canal is just a short stroll away where you can go on some lovely bike rides, perhaps all the way to nearby Skipton.

The surrounding area is ideal for walkers and cyclists and this lodge provides an ideal base to return to at the end of the day.

Skipton 4 miles; Settle 12 miles.

A pretty village on the banks of the River Aire, around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat including a fantastic Indian restaurant, along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Traversed by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, cycle route 68 and the Pennine Way, Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Four miles away is the ancient market town of Skipton — “The Gateway to the Dales” — with its historic castle and celebrated high street. On the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is an ideal location for walking, cycling and touring.
