Family holiday

2nd stay at this lodge and we liked it so much from the first 4 night stay that this holiday was booked for a week, as usual the lodge was well equipped, clean and tidy and had everything you could need or want in it with the added bonus of the hot tub that my hubby, kids and myself really took full use of. Would highly recommend this lodge to anyone.

Second Visit to Striding Edge Lodge

Second time we have stayed here and it won't be our last. Would highly recommend Striding Edge and Lake District Lodge Holidays. Limefitt is very peaceful and the kids played for hours in the little stream. The Hottub is private and checked daily. The Lodge is cosy and very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Enjoyed every minute and can't wait to go back.

Fantastic 2 week break

Having stayed at Striding Edge before we knew we were going to a real home from home for a family holiday to celebrate both our 30th birthdays with our little boy. We weren't disappointed. We found the lodge to be immaculately clean as always, lovely and cosy and we especially liked the hot tub to relax in the evening after exploring new parts of the lakes we haven't previously visited. The lodge is in a very peaceful location with beautiful views and was the perfect holiday to relax as a family. We cannot wait to return for 2 weeks next year! The Haybarn Inn on site is very reasonable and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal there. We even done the walk behind the Haybarn pub which is a lovely circular walk, not too strenuous offering lovely views of the Troutbeck valley, Windermere and the Langdales, joining the main road back to the park past the church. We enjoyed it so much we did it twice and the 2nd time crossed the road and walked up into Troutbeck Village crossing the newly refurbished footbridge destroyed by Storm Desmond. As always thank you for an easy booking process, and thank you to the lodge owners for providing a real home from home for us to enjoy.

Mini break

Lovely clean and very cosy lodge. It's the second time we have stayed here and would definitely return. The views are beautiful and there are lots of scenic walks to enjoy. Had a lovely trip to Bowness a short ride in a taxi and plenty of bars and places to eat.

Our short getaway

An excellent lodge in an excellent location with an exceptional hot tub nicely secluded from the other lodges with lovely views of the hills. Condition & comfort were amazing. Would recommend this place to my parents, that's how good it is. Lovely walks & nearby towns of lake Windermere. If dining out the pub on site is good but for excellence we would recommend The Pig in Windermere.

Fantastic family break

Wow what can we say? This was our 7th consecutive stay at Limefitt Park and our 1st time in Striding Edge Lodge. We always stayed in the Beckside area of the park but this year fancied a change and chose Striding Edge and we weren't disappointed. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and a real home from home. It had everything we needed and more. We had our 18month old with us and found the lodge to be warm and cosy as well as spacious. The fridge and freezer are of good size and it was helpful having the family bathroom as well as the en suite. We didn't feel over looked at all and we really enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings! There are lovely views from the lodge of Troutbeck Village and surrounding fells. The weather wasn't great this year but this didn't stop us. Thank you to Lake District Lodge Holidays for the fantastic, easy and pleasant booking process and to the lodge owners for providing us with a fantastic lodge to which we had an amazing much needed relaxing holiday in. We can't wait to return to Striding Edge for 2 weeks next year!

Another wonderful stay

We have stayed here twice now and have yet to be disappointed! We visited exactly a year ago and fell in love with the location and comfort of the lodge. It has everything you need and is very private. The sleeping arrangements are great with two young children and the openness of the lodge means you really get some quality family time. We only encountered one very small issue which was dealt with within 15 minutes. Excellent customer service from LDLH, cannot be faulted. Limefitt Park is quiet and has wonderful surroundings and there is always something to look at - see if you can find the Orange Sheep in the farmers fields on the hills! We would recommend visiting Rydal Lake with it's own set of caves. The walk to Orrest Head is worth it for panoramic views - look out for the Gruffalo in the woods! Another lovely stay, always sad to leave! Will be back again next year.

Thank you for the great review and ratings, Rebecca. It is very pleasing to hear you had another enjoyable stay at Striding Edge. A very cosy yet spacious lodge with hot tub for guests to simply relax. It seems the orange sheep were a hit, and certainly a talking point! We are delighted you went on to have a wonderful stay at this fantastic holiday lodge and it will be a pleasure to welcome you again next year.
