“The lodge was filthy.”
Dog hairs everywhere, stains on seating, crumbs and debris under sofa cushion. Carpets dirty. There were canisters left from previous occupant with coffee, solidifying in bottom of canister. We had to sit on towels
There were only 3 usable mugs, lodge slept 6. Other mugs chipped and cracked.
We contacted Sykes, were told they would supply more towels, they never arrived. Also told more mugs to be supplied, never arrived.
They did say they’d send a cleaner, we left cushions off the sofa so ...

They did say they’d send a cleaner, we left cushions off the sofa so they could see the problem, the cleaners came, removed one round stain on sofa, put all cushions back in place without cleaning underneath them.
We did ask to be moved lodges, unable to offer anything else
Very disappointing, we have been promised a small amount of compensation but this will not improve our thoughts on the lodge and we will never use Sykes again.
