3pm book in,lodge still had cleaners in and was told to return in 30mins,no apology and was rude,stains on fleeces in living room,cobwebs on most ceilings,we had to pull a big black lump of black hair out of the shower plug for it to drain properly,electric kept on tripping,settee's in living area were uncomfortable,main bin wasn't emptied and still had previous guests rubbish in,check out was 10 am which I think is a little early,and to top it off we was accused of stealing towels and threatened with court,I've stayed in hotels all over the world and everyone who stayed are very successful professional people and we all felt that we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers,we will not be visiting again

With regard to your comments regarding cleaning standards, as you will note from previous feedback, we have received very high ratings. We employ the best cleaners available in the area who do a consistently excellent job. We do not understand why, if the standard of cleanliness was at such an unsatisfactory level on your arrival, you did not immediately contact Sykes or ourselves. Had there been such a problem it would have been immediately rectified. We understand that you arrived prior to 3pm which is the earliest arrival time possible. The Lodge was available for you at 3pm. Checkout time of 10 am is the standard for Sykes bookings as described when making a booking and is necessary for the property to be fully prepared for the next guests. We work very hard to ensure that the Lodge is maintained to the highest of standards and this is reflected in the feedback grading. We also see the many satisfied guest who return regularly."
