“A beautiful, well equipped, comfortable lodge in an excellent setting.”

However, especially in the present economic climate, this lodge is way, way overpriced!!!

The property

Lakeside 7 is a fantastic lodge located by Lake Windermere in the renowned Lake District National Park. This stylish holiday property is ideal for a family of six and is located on the outskirts of the little community of Troutbeck Bridge, close to amenities. Admire the beauty of nature before you as you are met by a private parking area that makes unloading a breeze. Climb a few steps to the terrace, which is shaded by big trees for solitude and has seating where you can watch the lake shimmer. Step inside to the open-plan living area, which is bathed with natural light thanks to the large windows and French doors, and where you can curl up on the sofa with a nice book or flick through the Smart TV. The huge kitchen space features an island with a breakfast bar, where you can keep the appointed chef company while they cook something delicious on the gas stove. For a hassle-free clean-up, the vacation house also includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer. When dinner is ready, take a seat at the six-person dining table or dine alfresco on the sundeck area, where the glass panels provide excellent views of Lake Windermere. As the sky darkens, retreat inside and melt your worries away in the family bathroom, either by soaking in the bubbles or rinsing off in the overhead shower. Rest your head in either the king-size bedroom with a convenient en-suite shower room or the two charming twin bedrooms when sleep beckons. Enjoy the vistas with a cup of coffee in the morning while you plan your day's travels. Treetop Lake District offers tree-top activities, including Brockhole on Windermere, The Lake District Visitor Centre, offers mini-golf, zip-lines, and more! A picturesque drive will take you to Ambleside, a market town with antique shops, outdoor apparel shops for hiking supplies, and the Victorian Wray Castle. Spend the day roaming through Windermere, where the lively town of Bowness-on-Windermere is located, to see your favourite characters at The World of Beatrix Potter and learn about the history of boats and steam at Windermere Jetty Museum - Stories of Boats and Steam. Lakeside 7 is a lovely place to visit at any time of year, so plan a trip with your loved ones.
