“Prior to arrival I received an email stating they could not connect the tv and to take a fire stick as a back up, we had already set off and didn’t want to turn back.”

However, when we got there a tv Ariel guy turned up and installed a new tv Ariel for us and got the tv up and running, excellent service. Caravan on arrival was perfect, so clean and homely, had everything we needed for our stay. However, when we got there a tv Ariel guy turned up and installed a new tv Ariel for us and got the tv up and running, excellent service. Caravan on arrival was perfect, so clean and homely, had everything we needed for our stay. There was 6 adults went on holiday and although we all managed and had a comfortable sleep the smallest bedroom was extremely small and tight, only being able to walk sideways down the gap of the beds due to the small gap between. Perhaps for a holiday of 6 adults a larger third bedroom would have been ideal. But we did all manage and all had a lovely sleep and had plenty of space for our clothes etc. Living room and kitchen area was beautiful, really homely, so comfortable and perfect for us for our stay. The only complaint I would say I had was that on the first day we got there, we had been there an hour or so, we noticed the bathroom door handle was broken, the lock was broke and would periodically lock you in the bathroom. I reported this and the maintenance guy come out and said he would order a new handle and come back the day after and not to use the lock in the mean time. We weren’t using the lock but it would still lock us in from time and time and we had to shout for someone to open it from the outside. In the end we started leaving the living room door closed when people went for a shower toilet etc so we could leave the bathroom door open to not get stuck in. Not ideal when there was 6 adults on holiday, especially if someone wanted to be in there bedroom and had to walk past the bathroom door. We left the key in the key safe as instructed by the maintenance man every single time we went out and no one came to replace the handle in the 4 days we were there. Site itself is brilliant, food was lovely in the boathouse bar, was entertainment on every night. Bar staff were lovely and friendly. On site shop had all your amenities if you forgot something or ran out of anything, it did close early on a night but there is a spar less then half a mile along the main road, a little dark to walk along as no street lights, but with a torch it is fine. Site is located close to both ambleside and bowness, we got a mini bus taxi down for 6 of us and only cost £11.50 to bowness which reception booked for us. Taxi arrived within minutes, perfect service. Overall a brilliant resort, a lovely lodge, I would absolutely recommend and will most definitely be back.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologise for the delayed response regarding the bathroom handle/lock. This has now been completely replaced and shouldn't cause any further problems. I'm glad that you had a lovely stay despite this upset. Pam (owner} Property Owner
