The property

Welcome to Tanglewood, a well equipped three bedroom holiday lodge Tanglewood is a spacious and modern holiday lodge in the Thirlmere area of White Cross Bay. The lodge benefits from being a short distance to the lake and marina. Larger than most lodges, Tanglewood will uniquely sleep up to 8 guests offering 2 double bedrooms, both with king size beds, plus a third bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds. A great choice for larger families! Please note: The maximum number of adults permitted is 6 as 2 guests will need to sleep on the bottom bunks. A maximum of 4 children can also stay at any one time (with 4 adults). Sorry we are unable to accept dogs at Tanglewood Lodge. Accommodation Details Living area: - Spacious and bright open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with pitched wooden ceiling - Furniture includes a large corner leather sofa - Feature fire surround with electric log effect fire - Corner TV unit with flat screen TV and DVD player - Dining table with 6 chairs Kitchen area: - Fully equipped fitted kitchen separated by an island worktop - There is a 4 ring gas hob with built in electric oven, freestanding fridge/freezer, microwave, under counter dishwasher, kettle and toaster, crockery and cutlery plus plenty of storage Master bedroom: - King size bed - Walk in wardrobe plus dressing table and stool and bedside drawers - Wall mounted TV - En suite shower room with corner thermostatic shower, fitted furniture, toilet and hand basin Second bedroom: - King size bed - Dressing table, bedside drawers and fitted wardrobe Third bedroom: - Two full size wooden frame bunk beds Family bathroom: - Family bathroom with fitted furniture, toilet, basin. Full sized bath with over bath thermostatic shower Other information: - Please note: Regrettably BBQs are NOT permitted due to the composite/plastic deck - There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the hallway cupboard - Full central heating ensuring a comfortable stay all year round - There is a selection of books and games

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

Tanglewood is accessed by 6 steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.

A travel cot will fit in the second bedroom only. Please bring your own travel cot and highchair as they are not provided.

BBQs are not permitted at this lodge due to the composite/plastic decking.

White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, gym, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.

Subject to White Cross Bay Holiday Park rules:
Commercial vehicles, caravans or camper vans cannot be parked on the site.
Hen or stag parties are not permitted.

There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £100 for this property.
