The property

The lodge is fully central heated with double glazing ensuring a comfortable stay all year round. Enjoying a quiet location on the edge of the park, Tarn End Lodge is a beautifully maintained, contemporary-style lodge, situated in the Troutbeck area of White Cross Bay. All-ground-floor and sleeping up to four guests, Tarn End Lodge is a welcoming and dog-friendly setting, sleeping up to four guests, ideal for couples or a small family holiday to the Lake District, with Lake Windemere and Ambleside easily accessible. Step into the spacious and bright open-plan living space, which is home to a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with vaulted ceiling and built in lighting. Sink into the plush two and three-seater leather sofas with your loved ones or relax on one of two additional armchairs, ensuring you call all relax together in an evening over a glass of wine or family board game. In the evenings, enjoy a movie night watching the wall mounted flat-screen TV and DVD player or take advantage of the thoughtful décor, including side tables and a TV storage unit, and get lost in your favourite book with a good cup of tea. Patio doors lead out on to your private decking with outside furniture provided so you can sit and admire the scenery to your hearts content with a glass of wine on those balmy summer evenings or a hot coffee in the crisp morning air. The well-equipped galley-style fitted kitchen provides everything you need for preparing meals and makes cooking a breeze and the dining table seating for four ensures you can enjoy mealtimes together. Whip up a delicious meal for your loved ones using the gas hob, electric oven and microwave, with smaller appliances such as a kettle and toaster providing a real home away from home feeling withing the property; the kitchen is also home to plenty of crockery, utensils and storage space, along with a fridge and a freezer to store your food and drinks, and a handy dishwasher to make cleaning up a breeze! The lodge offers two bedrooms the first being the master bedroom with a king-size bed with a quality padded headboard, fitted wardrobes with a convenient highchair for your younger guests, over bed storage, bedside cabinets and a corner, tiered shelving unit so you have plenty of space to unpack your belongings before getting ready in front of the full-size wall mirror. The master bedroom also benefits from a wall-mounted TV, perfect for those relaxing Sunday mornings, as well as the added benefit of an en-suite shower room with corner cubicle, toilet and hand basin where you can freshen up ahead of an adventurous day out. The second room is fitted with quality twin beds, a fitted wardrobe and bedside cabinets, alog with another TV to keep you entertained and providing yet another space for your group to settle into this delightful dwelling. In addition to the en-suite is the family bathroom where you can take a long relaxing soak after a day of fun-filled activities, home to a full bath and overhead thermostatic shower, as well as a hand basin unit and WC, with ample storage for your toiletries and another mirror where you can prepare for your day in style. Treat your guests to a spot of alfresco dining at the lovey dining area on the decking; the decking wraps around the front and side, allowing the sun to reach the lodge and providing a wonderful space to enjoy your morning coffee at the two-seater sofa, armchairs and coffee table. Take advantage of the rest of the outdoor space, where you will find further seating through the gate, with a parasol just to the rear of the lodge, as well as a handy storage box filled with plush cushions and picnic wares. Should you be returning from a relaxing walk late on in the evenings, the lodge boasts excellent outdoor lighting and a boot rack, so you can kick off your muddy shoes and enjoy late barbecue dinner before heading to bed. White Cross Bay Holiday Park resides on the shores of Lake Windermere with panoramic views across the Lake and to the fells beyond, making this location a marvellous choice for your Lakes getaway. The site is home to a host of wonderful facilities to enjoy including an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, and a spa pool, along with a children’s play area and activities, as well as a convenience shop, bar and restaurant and even a Costa Coffee! On-site an additional fee will gain access to extra facilities including the pool, gym, entertainment, bar and restaurant. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

Tarn End Lodge is accessed by 5 steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.

A travel cot will fit in the master bedroom only, please bring your own. Any bookings placed after April 28th, please bring your own highchair as one is not provided.

White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, gym, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
