The striking Victorian style garden, stands in the same place as the original Lingholm Kitchen Gardens, which Beatrix Potter credited as the inspiration behind Mr. McGregor’s Garden, in her bestselling book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
Within the high octagonal garden walls, you will therefore find a beautiful outdoor gallery, dedicated to Beatrix Potter, which takes visitors on an inspiring journey through her life on The Lingholm Estate.
