Rheged Facilities
Rheged’s cinema isn’t like your average multiplex – hidden away in our centre is one massive screen, the biggest in the North West to be precise! We show a range of films from impressive large format 3D films, to our regular Saturday Film Club and we often have presentations from renowned speakers. Comfortable tiered seating ensures that everyone gets a great view.
For children there is outdoor play and indoor play. Turrets & Tunnels is an incredible outdoor play area complete with a Roman Fort, Celtic roundhouse, giant slide and ramparts. Inside, the kids can enjoy soft play or visit Create, a pottery painting workshop. Every school holiday we host a range of interesting and unusual events for families such as cookery course, family theatre and quirky workshops. So whatever the weather there is lots to entertain and delight the kids.
Gallery@Rheged is an exciting venue for culture and the arts with a programme of 5 exhibitions per year including art, photography and craft. The Gallery aims to promote the best of Cumbrian art and culture while also bringing exceptional exhibitions and artists to the region.The Gallery also features a shop selling beautifully hand-crafted ceramics, jewellery, textiles and art materials.

Rheged is a hub for holiday ideas in Cumbria and the Lake District, with interactive information stations on Outdoor Adventure, Arts and Culture, Family Fun and Food and Drink. Ask our staff at the main desk in the foyer about some of the area’s hidden gems and accommodation.
There is ample free parking and free entry to the centre.
