Thank you for your brief review of Badgers Hollow. As your comments are rather vague and at odds with what the vast majority of guests say about their stay at this very popular lodge we have asked you to clarify them. These will then be passed on to the owner for their reference. Badgers Hollow provides great value, comfortable and modern accommodation and is a very popular lodge in which to stay.

Great stay for my Dads 70th

Had a brilliant time staying in Badgers Hollow Lodge at White Cross Bay. Felt very comfy and homely. The park is in a great location and the lodge had everything we needed, all the mod cons plus the option of a bath or shower, the fridge was big and spacious to store our food and there was a wii and other games to play with too. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great lodge and hoilday

It was a bit of a gamble booking this lodge as I've never done one before and not knowing what to expect. However, the previous reviews gave a very good account and they were right. The lodge was well appointed, clean and well equipped. Having an ensuite bathroom was bonus. Also having a hot tub was fantastic especially after doing a lot of fell walking. My only gripe was that there was an odd smell that from the hot tub area - vegetation and chlorine mix. This came into the lodge near the cupboard by the back door. It was quite noticeable when first entering the lodge. Also the dogs didn't think much of it either. I've made Lake District Lodge park aware of this in another feedback form and they will look into it. The lodge is in a nice location and we didn't hear much noise when staying there. A walk down to the Marina is well worth it and the view is stunning early in the morning especially as the fells had snow on them. There's also a woodland walk that it good for walking dogs in the morning and plenty of dog poo bins. Ambleside is only a few miles away and most areas like Hawkshead, Coniston are not too far away by car. The whole holiday exceeded my expectations and I would recommend staying at the lodge park and the lodge I had.

Lovely lodge and great location

Struggled to get out bearing to the lodge at first at wasn’t very well sign posted on site. But the lodge itself, was very well presented, very clean and tidy. Amazing hot tub, would certainly visited again or recommend it. Not many places to walk the dog. Had maintenance people turn up trying to take paint off the lodge early hours Monday morning which we hadn’t been told or aware of.

Perfect lodge in great location!!

A lovely lodge for a much needed rest! Myself, husband and two children and of course our cockapoo had a lovely stay at badgers hollow. The heating and lights were on for our arrival, the lodge was immaculate with dvd’s, games and books available. Great location for exploring the lakes and we loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. We had contact numbers should we have had any issues (which we didn’t) easy to book and good correspondence from company. I would definitely book again.

Lovely weekend break

We spent the weekend at Badgers Hollow and loved every minute of it . It was so cosy, clean, warm and the hot tub was amazing. The lights that come on around the lodge at night time are so pretty - it was so lovely - we had a chilled and relaxed time - the lodge was so comfy and very close walking distance to the main clubhouse which was great. Would highly recommend this lodge to anyone and especially if you have a dog as we were able to take our springer spaniel.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Caroline. Your comments are very much appreciated and very kind of you to praise the lodge so highly. Badgers Hollow is a beautifully presented two bedroom holiday lodge with it's own private hot tub, a wonderful place to relax and unwind - and we are delighted to hear you did just that! It will be a pleasure to welcome you again in the near future.

August visit 2018

Had a great stay at badger hollow this year. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Great location, walking distant to some villages. A few areas for improvement would be the the shower was weak (lacking pressure) and Wi-Fi wasn't great at lodge but you could go up to the main centre but these are very minor in comparison to the overall stay. The use of the hot tub was a huge bonus.
