Fantastic Christmas Break

This is the second time we have stayed at Beckside Rest, lovely cosy accommodation. Makes you feel like you are in a 'real log cabin'. Outside space is fantastic with a lovely view over the stream and across the valley. Excellent service as always from Lake District lodge holidays and all the staff at Limefitt. No hesitation in recommending the lodge, the site and the company.

The perfect get away!

We took our 2 young boys (3 and 6) for a pre-Christmas break to Beckside Rest and it was absolutely perfect! The booking and checking in/out process was made very easy. The lodge itself was clean, cosy and well equipped (even had a Christmas tree). The on site pub/restaurant was also very pleasant and reasonably priced. We explored the surrounding areas every day with plenty of walks etc to tire the kids before heading back for dinner and plenty of festive games, films etc. It really did make our Christmas extra special, I just wish we could have stayed longer! I can’t recommend this place highly enough, we will 100% be returning.

A vert relaxing break

The site is in an ideal location for people seeking peace and quiet. We booked the lodge in late November for 4 nights (mon - Fri) to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. Set metres from the beck with a large decking area which includes a hot tub, the location also offered a high degree of privacy. Inside there is ample room for 2 x adults and 2 children. It would be a little cramped for 4 adults, unless in summer when the decking area could be used. The location is close to Bowness-on-Windermere (£10.00 in a taxi) and Ambleside (£ 15.00 in a taxi). I would highly recommend and will book again next year.

Lovely winter break at Beckside Rest

My partner and I stayed at Beckside Rest for a long weekend for his birthday in November and had a really nice time. It was very chilled out and peaceful at this time of year and the lodge was the perfect cosy retreat from the cold weather. Located perfectly, we managed to get out and explore so many different areas of the Lake District and went for lots of lovely autumnal walks. The lodge itself was warm, super comfortable, very clean and also kitted out with everything we needed including all kitchen utensils, ironing board, etc. It even has a selection of DVD's, playstation games and board games. We played a lot of scrabble! The outside space is also really nice with wrap around decking looking on to the river and of course there is the hot tub. It was amazing and so relaxing to sit in the hot tub whilst it was freezing outside and being able to look up at the stars since it was so dark so early at this time of year. We had a fantastic stay and would love to come back again in the Summer.

Brilliant, loved everything about it!

Beckside Rest is in a beautiful location on the park. It was clean, cosy and comfortable. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped although we didn't cook, everything was there if you wanted to. The outside space was lovely and the hot tub amazing. Haybarn Pub was handy and staff friendly. Looking to book lodge again as soon as possible.

Nice Lodge and nice area

The Lodge was old but well preserved and homely. The hot tub was excellent but weather was challenging. It did not stop raining. The pup was nice but food was poor in my opinion even for a pump quality. Overall nice site, friendly atmosphere and high recommended to friends and family. Will certainly consider revisiting

Highly recommend

Excellent midweek break at backside rest lodge. Perfect location along the stream with west facing veranda catching the sun most of the day. The sun was not occluded by the trees outside as other lodges along the beck. Beautiful wildlife to be seen from the veranda along the stream. Nice quiet location away from the pub.
