Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Lodge. The lodge met our expectations and the rooms were spacious. We didn’t get to experience many facilities on site but assuming this was down to Covid-19 restrictions. The hot tub was a great addition. Overall we would definitely stay here again Regards Tom

We were abit sceptical about going back to White Cross Bay since the “Lockdown” and Covid 19. My Original booking was for end of June, but changed this booking to 27th July Monday-Friday. The check in time has now changed to 4.00pm, and someone greets you at Reception, as they are avoiding queues inside. Keycodes etc are sent to you via texted, so you can go straight to your lodge, much easier. This lodge we is located very close to the Clubhouse, and Parks, which did seems at good idea at the time. The main road is located at the back of the lodge, so lots of passing traffic, people walking down to and from the Main Reception, also noisy at night, you can also hear the traffic from the road. Having said that, the Lodge is located in a quiet Cul-De-Sac. We had a few meals in the Club house, and I have to say the Staff were brilliant. They have a new App system for drinks and meals which seems to work well, and one way system for going in and out. A member of staff is at the door greeting you, and keeping an eye on numbers etc, no need to book for meals. Swimming pool is open, but has to be booked and is limited numbers, spaced out sessions & lessons. The Lodge itself was very clean, bedrooms were spacious, plenty of towels left, and lots of cleaning equipment, Utensils etc. When we arrived, Work men from ParkDean Resorts were laying gravel by the Lodge and next door, this happened again the following day, which was abit noisy but didn’t disrupt our plans, and they were very friendly and co-operative. The first night was abit chilly, so we turned the heating on. Absolutely boiling in the morning, so no issues with the heating. Hot tub is in working order, and was able to be used. A Few problems with the Toilet seat in the En-Suite, abit wobbly, and very close to wall. I think it would be better if there were Door Hooks in the bathrooms for dressing gowns etc, but there is plenty of Wardrobe space in every room. The Kitchen space is very small, no more then 2 people can be in there at once. As I said, plenty of utensils, the Toaster is not brilliant. Overall, a good lodge, although I might review next time the location, as we have stayed closer to the Lake, which is much quieter. Bit of a squeeze for 6.
