Log cabin getaway
Fir tree log cabin was a great base for our stay in the Lake District. Plenty of outdoor space and very secure and seculded. It had everything you needed for Home from Home living including washing machine, dryer, ironing board, hairdryer, kitchen and cooking utensils etc. The dogs were comfortable and safe although signs within the park werent clear as to where you were heading and we never found the dog exercise area. The beer garden was nice but you did get forgotten about if you sat in it and ordered food. There was no indoor area on the park for dogs so unless its nice you have to sit outside. The cabin itself though was in a great location within the park and in the Lake District itself and was easy to find. it had plenty of amenities and a great base for our adventures. The books and maps provided were very useful for planning walks especially with the dogs. The stagecoach buses are well worth it and they take dogs too. Everyone was friendly and we werent bothered by anyone not even the hot tub maintenance guy. Definitely be looking at booking fir tree lodge for our Lakes getaway soon as we all really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Lovely lodge in great spot!!
We stayed here for 4 nights over the Easter holidays with our 2 children and dog.
The lodge was clean and ready on arrival and had everything we would need for our stay including games etc for our children!
The hot tub was fantastic, nice and private too so you aren't on show to passers by!!!
The only thing we would mention especially for families is that the layout of this lodge means that there is literally no living space in the lounge area for kids to Play etc. That being said there is a nice large decking area outside and the site itself has a park and games area.
We would still return here as the hot tub was fab!

Snowy scenes at Fir Tree Lodge
We had a wonderful first time long weekend visit in the park with the cabin and hot tub experience at Fir Tree.
The sub zero temperatures did not dampen our spirits as we made the most of the 40 degree max temp in the hot tub whilst the snow fell around us. The homely living room with fire and superb power shower in the en-suite ensured an end to the goosebumps from the storm.
Needless to say, we cannot recommend it high enough.
Great place to unwind with beautiful scenery on your doorstep. We will be back. Thank you

Nice lodges, but let down when arrived as lodge was a bit smelly and took time to air out, cleaning products and rags left in the floor around the lodge and some silly bits and pieces broke ie door threshold/panneling on hot tub,
Outside decking not been swept unfortunatly,
But once that was all sorted quite a nice place to stay

Lovely Short Break
My girlfriend and I had a lovely trip to Fir Tree Lodge along with our dog. The lodge was clean, warm, and most of all very comfortable and felt extremely homely. Very nice touch to have a couple of Xmas trees up too. Location was good, and the hot tub was bliss. Only slight downside was that the wifi signal isn't accessible from inside the lodge, and if we wanted to use the wifi we would need to walk 50 yards down the path to connect to it. All in all, it is a lovely lodge and we certainly will be returning.

Half term with the family
Lovely stay at Fir Trees Lodge over the half term. Quiet location yet close to the bar/restaurant/reception/shop.
On site shop is not very big.
Plenty of entertainment on over the half term. Bar staff excellent and area kept very clean.
About 1 mile to Brockhole, excellent day out.
2 mile to Bowness.
Would recommend and would stay again
