We cant thank Lake District Lodge Holidays and the owners of Fir Tree Lodge for overcoming the many obstacles we have all faced in 2020, to make our long awaited stay in The Lakes as pleasurable as possible. From the festive decor to the comforts of home, this second visit to Fir Tree Lodge did not disappoint. Sipping a drink in the Hot tub whilst the snow falls around you after a long walk is just what I needed. The owners were more than accommodating to the ever changing circumstances in which we all found ourselves ... thank you for your generosity. We look forward to booking again in 2021.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fir Tree Lodge. The lodge gives you that real Lake District getaway experience situated in an ideal location on the park, tucked away surrounded by beautiful trees. Our first trip to the lakes and we loved it so much we are already pricing up for next year! It was everything we imagined and more. We stayed for 3 nights at Fir Tree Lodge which was clean, fresh and spacious with a fantastic hot tub that was checked daily and maintained wonderfully. Felt very covid safe at the lodge, we didnt use the parks onsite amenities due to covid but didnt mind spending our evenings in the cosy lodge and hot tub one bit. We explored Grasmere, Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere, took the car on the ferry to Hawkshead for £10 return and much more. We also did the walk up to the caves at Rydal Water with amazing views. Cant fault the lodge at all, the park itself is situated right on Lake Windermere, brilliant, stress free experience from booking to checking out upon departure. Would defiantly stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and the lovely bottle of wine you left for us.

We stayed here for four nights, the lodge is lovely and cosy and very immaculate inside. A bottle of wine was on the table when we arrive, a huge thank you for that it was lovely. The hot tub was very welcome but we couldn't get the jets to work properly but that didn't matter as it was just so nice. The bedrooms are perfect as are the two bathrooms. The lounge is a really good size and for the kitchen is perfect with all you need in there. As an ex head chef it suited me down to a tee. Eat out on the site the food is good. Overall we could not fault our break away. Thank you to the owners.
